Lightweight buggy for 3-4 year old

I am (slightly nervously...) wondering if anyone could recommend a cheap and cheerful buggy for a 3-4 year old that we could take on holiday and not worry about getting trashed (and that could possibly fit a buggy board..?!).

I say nervously because so far the only responses to similar requests I've found online have been very critical of mums who dare to use one past three years old.

My daughter has a hip condition and whilst she is not confined to a wheelchair and will walk and run at every given opportunity, she does trip over a lot and tires herself out very easily. We would not be able to travel far without a buggy. I have a hippy-chick that is a god-send, but she is getting so heavy now that I can only really use it for carrying her up stairs, etc.

At the moment we get around with a bugaboo bee with buggy board attached but its quite an awkward size when all attached and I don't want to drag it all the way to Cuba. Although she loves the buggy board (it seems our perfect compromise between her wanting to walk but not being able to for long) she finds balancing on scooters tricky so this wouldn't be a reliable answer either.

Daughter is 3 and a bit, but would use this right up until school age I suspect (if not trashed on holiday, or if we haven't been stoned by the buggy police in the mean time)...

Any suggestions??!

So the board is for the same child using the buggy? I ask only because sometimes using the board with the seat unoccupied is just too unstable on some pushchairs.

The red kite zumi is good, I used that with a board for about 18 months, towards the end quite often with the buggy empty and youngest on the board. It was the best small and light buggy that took a board in a half reasonable way that I could find at the time.

A couple of people on here have recently bought the Nuna pepp to use with buggyboards, we're waiting for reports on how well the combination works.

Purely in terms of the pushchair the baby jogger city mini zip is showing a lot of promise, I don't know if it would take a board. Possibly?

Thank you all so much. Bought the micralite on ebay second hand after your advice and took it to Cuba for two weeks - it was perfect! Big enough she could fall asleep in in evenings / naps but light and small enough that it wasn't a pain to have around. And the massive wheels meant it could cope with uneven roads / pavements. Didn't miss the buggy board after all as it was so easy to hop in and out of. The mesh seat worked well with a hot country - an added bonus I hadn't thought of. Its also plenty big enough for her and will last a while. Shall be keeping it and getting rid of the bugaboo as a result. Cheers all!

Maclarens are great and I think their entry level one is pretty light? They will take a kicking on the planes without complaining. Best of all there's always plenty on eBay.
