We live in a city with a few cobbles in the town centre pram will be mainly used for in and out of the car and on buses when DP is at work
Bugaboo Bee 3 is one we love not really sure about others we'd like parent facing and rhe the only car seat i feel is safe is the maxi cosi pebble so it needs adapters for that Smile

Im planning on sliming the tyres so they don't puncture
is mountain buggy a good brand ? i haven't seen any others that i like for that price
also the muddy paths are trails not boggy or thick its hard to explain but i know a 3 wheeler would go over them also need it to be lightweight ish as there is tree trunks and a stile to go over

i dont fall i trip up sometimes id be scared that a baby on my front would tip me over and make me fall im very short and lightweight

Honestly, your baby will not tip you over. I assume you aren't expecting a baby elephant Wink

If I were you, I'd repost (or ask MNHQ to rename your topic) so the title specifically asks for advice about solutions for dog walking.

I know sling use sounds like a daft and slightly hippy thing, but it's brilliant. You can hire slings from a local sling library very cheaply so you can try before you buy, and they can advise on the best kind for your circumstances. Please give it so warriors thought.

And as for a 3 wheeler on the bus - you could climb on backwards.

JellyTipisthebest · 07/03/2015 03:42

Mountain buggies are a very goo brand but you wont lift any pushchair over stiles on your own. Sling is your best bet.
You could get something for going on busses and something for going dog walking.

out and about is also a good make for 3 wheels

Want2bSupermum · 07/03/2015 03:56

Stiles will stump you. Mountain buggy is great. You really don't need to spend £1500 on a stroller. I would def consider 2nd hand too. As your child gets older your needs change and you will want a different stroller. We have 2 but all of our friends have 4-6 strollers. One friend has 4Dc and has about 10 strollers.

myusernameisusername · 07/03/2015 05:06

2nd hand is icky i dont like it. also £1,500 is a usual price for a 3 in 1 travel system once you factor in the cosy toes and other accessories and the car seat and base alone are about £400

Go on Amazon. There are lots of travel systems in that price range. Having an expensive stroller is not necessary.

myusernameisusername · 07/03/2015 19:13

Id never use a Hauck so cheap and worthless never heard anything good about them and the car seats dont even have isofix bases or padding.

OP posts:
myusernameisusername · 07/03/2015 19:14

I haven't seen any travel system packages or 3 in 1s on amazon ive only seen the cheap rubbish ones with unknown names or brands

OP posts:
myusernameisusername · 07/03/2015 19:21

Also i akd plenty of others on this site know the more you pay the more you get for your money i plan on using the system for more than 1 child and won't compromise on safety for the sake of saving money because my child would be the one to suffer if i put them in a cheap seat in the car and had an accident or put them in a cheap pram that wasn't suitable for them

Well go take a look. Britax stroller that can take a car seat, faces both ways plus can lie flat for less than £200.

By all means go get a bugaboo but don't believe for a second that you are getting something superior to a £300 stroller. All you are paying for is marketing and being sold on 'the look of a yummy mummy'.

Quite frankly you come across as wanting to spend lots more than wanting to have something functional and you have been quite rude to others who are trying to help you. I would look at the Danish strollers by brio. They have a carriage that you then replace with a seat. The one we have for our family visits to Denmark are about £3500 new as ours has different linings such as sheepskin etc.

Not that this will help but the sheepskin lining was pitched because my son had explosive shit and after the fifth time it couldn't washed out. It's £200 to replace the liner and quite frankly I can't be arsed to spend anymore on the damn thing. Personally I find it ludicrous to spend as much on a stroller as a car. I say this as someone with the financial means beyond most. I also have the manners not to be rude to other people who are trying to help me.

Artandco · 07/03/2015 21:24

£1500 seems steep. We had a bugaboo chameleon and only spent £750 on it including car seat etc

JassyRadlett · 07/03/2015 21:32

OP, I came on to offer friendly advice (several pushchairs including one quite expensive travel system in this house, and experience of friends' pushchairs), but honestly after your last few posts I don't think I can be bothered, as you don't seem to be willing to take on anyone else's experiences, or even bother being polite.

i don't see how I'm rude stating simple well founded facts.

Mama and papas armadillo flip might do the trick

Whenwillwe3meetagain · 08/03/2015 04:22

Did you mean to be so rude?
People who already have prams have offered excellent advice and you seem to just want to spend a crazy amount. More money doesn't automatically make 'a stroller' better! I recommend you read a Which report and go from there.

JassyRadlett · 08/03/2015 07:50

You may wish to look to the manner in which you're engaging, and perhaps consider that higher price does not necessarily equal increased safety or better product.

PatrickOShea · 08/03/2015 08:59

You're pleasant. More money doesn't mean amazing quality. You're paying for the brand name, too. £1500 for a travel system is extortionate and there's no need to berate someone's choice in brand stating it's worthless and cheap.

myusernameisusername · 08/03/2015 14:04

am armadillo wont go over rough ground

OP posts:
PinkyAndTheBump · 08/03/2015 16:06

The armadillo flip XT has bigger wheels which have coped with our tree root ravaged pavements ok. Not tried them off road yet. They've got very slight tread on the wheels so not fully rugged.

myusernameisusername · 08/03/2015 16:08

i need something to handle mud tracks those wheels are too small
