Pushchair for two year old

Hi everyone, I am at the moment in the process of adopting a 2 year old (well hasn't quite turned two yet). Apparently the lo does use a buggy still, not all the time but if out on a long walk or having to be somewhere In A rush etc. So I'm looking for something that would fit a child from 2-3( can't imagine Id need it in a year or so).
My requirements are:
Rear facing, I know usually at 2 they would face the world, but we will be forming attachment so I need to have the option of turning the lo to face me
Decent wheels: we have three dogs so do walk a lot on pavement or grass. We do go to the woods and beach too but I'm guessing lo would walk there

A friend has offered me a quinny buzz which she bought but rarely used as she also had a stroller. Does anyone recommend these? Or should I try and find something else?

The buzz might be a bit heavy but if she's going to give you it why not give it a try.

Quinny is good - I had one with DC1 and would have carried on using it for a long time with him if I hadn't had DC2 and needed a double. Also had a Loola (which is rear-facing) at the grandparents' which I still use sometimes with 3yo DC3. That's more of a pavement pushchair though (4 solid wheels) whereas the 3 wheeler Quinny would be better for off-road.

I was going to suggest a Maclaren until you said forward facing.

It depends how much you walk, but I have found that I am still using a buggy through the first year of Reception - we walk to school and Reception DCs have always been pretty tired on the way home, so they jump on the buggy board (had baby in buggy). Not sure if you can fit a buggy board on a Quinny, but it's great for 2-3year olds because they can just hop on and off as they like, and it's lovely for attachment because they are effectively nestled between your arms in a bit of a hug, even though they're not facing you, and it's really easy to chat, because they're higher up and close to your mouth. I think DC of that age often find it easier to chat when they're not looking directly at you, too.

Congratulations on your lovely new DC. Thanks

Congrats MrsM! We're also about to adopt and have similar needs in regards to dog walking and countryside etc. we've bought the jane trider on recommendation of a couple of friends. Also which best buy. We bought it from precious little one as they have last years colours reduced heavily.
I have to say I'm really impressed by the build quality and can't wait to get using it. No air filled tyres as sil had no end of problems with air tyres on her mountain buggy, choice of suspension settings. It's 3 wheels and front wheel is either fixed for off road or swivel for urban use and it turns on a sixpence. The seat unit looks really roomy and is extremely easy to flip from forward facing to rear facing, it's also nice and high so ideal for attachment purposes but also if you flip the seat round can easily double as a highchair.
