Buggy choice - small, light, rear facing, some off road

Hello everyone, this is my first mumsnet post so please be kind! Smile

I've been researching buggies for months, so long in fact that my baby has now been born (currently 3 weeks old)!

I'm looking for a buggy that's as small and light as possible to fold and put in car, easy to fold, has parent facing option, and some off road capability, nothing too serious just grassy parks, gravelly tree rooty tow paths etc. Ideally also had a seat that lies flat for new born rather than separate carry cot, mostly to minimise the amount of stuff we have lying around.

The bugaboo bee came up top of my search for a while, but it doesn't look that good for anything other than pavements from what I've read. Also considered baby jogger city mini gt as better off pavement, but it's not parent facing. Been through various other ideas, but nothing seems to fit all my criteria.

I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas please? Or whether I need to drop some of my criteria as the perfect buggy for me doesn't exist!

Decisions decisions! Thanks everyone!

Tbh, most of the off roader type pushchairs aren't parent facing. Would you look at a sling or carrier for the walks?

The out n about 360 nipper single with a carrycot would probably work really well for you.

Perhaps have a look at:

Baby jogger city versa gt
Easywalker Mosey

Thanks I'll take a look at those. I've got a sling and have been using that so far, I just can't help thinking a buggy would be useful for longer walks, or when I need to carry more stuff with me. But maybe I can cope with just the sling as I build up my strength again post birth/pregnancy and then just get a lightweight stroller for when he gets heavier...

we have the zoom from m&p and it ticks all boxes except the easy fold for car.

my mum has a tiny boot and i have to take the wheels off to get the chassis in there but it is easy done

I will second the easywalker mosey and add the casualplay kudu 3 or 4.

I have FINALLY found the perfect pushchair - the Easywalker Mosey. It ticks all your boxes - small, neat folding, off road wheels AND I have just discovered the seat lies flat, and is suitable from birth. So no carrycot is needed.
My Mosey only arrived yesterday, so it is early days yet. But I can't fault it yet. In fact I am incredulous at how good it is. Everything is easy on it. It knocks the socks off the Bee3.....absolutely brilliant!

Look also at the Versa GT because that is hard to beat too.

Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to wait for the easyWalker mosey and give it a try in the shops, not long now! Excited!

Or maybe not, doesn't look like it's coming in October after all, according to this link I've just found...

Yes - I have been exchanging emails with Easywalker in the Netherlands. They've said that they are expecting to have stock for the UK market from mid-October. They work with Peppermint in the UK who have told me they only have it available to order online. When I asked Easywalker where I could try out a Mosey close to Herts, they have told me that no London retailers have ordered a Mosey for the shop floor yet, but they are in the process of contacting retailers and hope to have an update at the end of October. M&P will have the Mosey from 'early next year'.

So... I'm none the wiser!
