Stroller front wheels - are single wheels ok?

Just wondering if anyone can offer some insight into whether single wheels on the front of a stroller cause problems/diificulties with steering and manouvreability?

I'm interested in the Chicco Liteway but was wondering why all the other strollers in the store had two wheels at the front. The sales assistant in Mothercare said it doesn't matter as it's the rear wheels that tend to make it easier (she said larger are better). Is this true? I have no experience whatsoever.

I've got the icandy peach jogger and find it tries to tip over if the pavement is very wonky, but I don't know whether this would also be the case with 4 wheels.

I do find using the large 3 wheeler on the beach is massively better, just not on an extremely sloping camber.

Single front wheels should be more manoeuverable imo. Certainly should cause any problems. There are lots of strollers with single wheels now, mutsy, babystyle, m&p etc.

They are more manoeuvrable definitely, with the icandy you can so a full turn with just a pinky! But only indoors, wouldn't be quite so easy on uneven ground. It depends in what your use is likely to be I suppose
