Hi all, this is for a very stubborn friend of mine who has a DC age 1 and another on the way in a few weeks she is extremely picky about her choice of pram i have suggested every brand i know to her and tried giving her all my advice but to no avail. she like the Icandy twin pram and can't afford it new so she is trying to get one second hand she doesn't drive so is finding it hard to get one in her area. and suggestions on double prams new/second hand £500 or under ?? she doesn't like P&T or anything with a seat that goes on the bottom and she finds graco tandems "lame" her words not mine i tried suggesting cosatto double too her but she doesn't like them either these are the side by side ones with "bro" "sis" on them etc.... you see why i am struggling here. Grin thanks for any help in advance xx

I had a graco tandem

I wouldn't of called it lame but it was bloody hard work, bigger child in the front, nightmare to get up curb

I had an icandy pear double and hated it. The seats weren't right, too close and was so awkward. My ds looked so uncomfortable. I changed to a Phil&Teds explorer and love it. Baby lies under her brother. I put the second chair on top which means dd is well protected from sun, wind and rain.

Would def recommend p&t.

If you live in NI I have a lovely icandy pear double for sale for £250 Grin

Mountain buggy duet about £500 new. I wanted one but it wouldn't fit in my car so i ended up getting second hand donkey instead. The bugaboo donkey is brilliant but pricey.

Out and About Nipper with carrycot.

Mothercare do their own side by side double 3 wheeler (like the mountain buggy). It was brilliant x

I've seen donkeys on Gumtree for £600, which is pushing the finance end a little bit but is hands down the best side by side (only in my opinion, of course!) and good for different ages with independent changeable seats. Does she have a friend with a car that she could borrow for a day to go get something used?

Mountain buggy duet is great! Narrow enough to fit through pretty much all shop and front doors.

Side by side means my toddler can get in and out easily. Excellent hoods/reclines fully and seems comfy (even for my tall two year old)

Easy to push up curbs etc but only downside is it's incredibly heavy so no good for lifting up stairs or into a car boot.

First wheels city twin is big but it is brilliant, I'm not sure if you can still purchase them new but they are definitely available second hand at a reasonable price.

Don't do oyster max!! We had original oyster so we went for max when I was expecting dc2 and I've already sold it and got out n about nipper double v3. So much better!! Hated how cramped and close the babies were in oyster max and impossible to lift up kerbs and steps!

Nipper 360 or if she can push the budget, second hand donkey.
