Hi, I have the double and love it so just looking to get the single plus buggyboard as ds is walking more and more now. I was just wondering how they handle with a buggy board. can the child stand comfortably and hold on? My ds isn't that tall and only just 2. I am keeping the double for now so not worried about long trips.

Also, any better suggestions? I want something to fold easily and compactly. my ideal would be parent facing with the buggy board so the children face each other (currently use this set up with my graco with ds holding the bumper bar but the graco is a pain for in and out of the boot. budget max £250, maybe higher if resale value is good. thanks

It is really difficult to get a buggy board on the back of a City Mini and for you to walk comfortably. If you can push the budget, the best pushchair I have ever had with a buggy board on was the Babystyle Oyster with ride on board. Its an excellent board. The Oyster 2 is a much better seat than the Oyster 1. Given its new, it would hold its value well. The board folds in situ which is really useful, and it simply clips up if not required. Very very good!

Can I jump in with a related question? If you stick with a BJCM, but not the buggy board as I've read like in Tiggy's post that the BJCM and buggy boards don't work well together, what other options might there be to provide some support/transport for an older child without changing the pushchair? Is it just the Baby Jogger buggy board that doesn't work, or is it generally all buggy boards? And might there be another option, some sort of ride on or... erm, something else?!

We have a BJCM which we use with DS, he's 16mo and will be nearly 2yo when DC2 arrives. He walks very confidently as it is now and although he happily sits in his pushchair when walk about, he does like to get out and walk for himself, so I am guessing that a few more months of this and he'll be walking even more but not necessarily for the whole day! We have a light stroller that we can use if necessary but I'm exploring the buggy board/rider type options as it seems like a good idea in theory.

PS And I don't want to buy any other buggies... well I kind of do, but logically we don't need too

thanks tiggy i looked at the single today and it does loke like you would need arms like mr tickle to make it work! i was looking for more of a buggy than the oyster, for hols and shopping trips as we still have the bjcmd for long walks and days out. have you ever used the micralite superlite with the buggyboard option? i lookedat one today and it did look good

itsjust could you use something like this? www.buggypod.com/buggypod-perle.php might work as the child is sitting down so could maybe be closer to the pushchair. not sure how it would work fully reclined though and its not out till autumn
