City Mini 4 wheel rather than GT?

This is a bit late really, have already paid for the 4 wheel I have on order but here goes... Blush

I am having second thoughts about the 4 wheel city mini and wondering if I should have gone for the GT. I have scoured past threads on here, looked at Best Buggy and the comparison tool on the official site but am still pondering. I picked the 4 wheel for stability and because I've never tried a 3 wheel up and down kerbs etc. so wanted to stick to what I know, especially if I use it for a newborn in future. But on other threads people say the GT is very grounded, is if as grounded as the 4 wheel?

Also I've read the GT is a more comfortable push than the 3 wheel city mini with a heavier child. How does the 4 wheel compare?

I prefer the look of the 4 I think and I'm not bothered about the hand brake over the foot brake, but the adjustable handle bar would be good. Fixed handle is fine for me and my partner but my parents will also use and my mum is short, my dad tall so they may like the option. Just don't know if it is worth the extra.

I think you mainly have to buy for you and your partner as you will be the ones who mainly use it.
I have just ordered the gt, and had the same dilemma as you. I think from what I have read too, that basically the gt makes it easier the older the child gets. I personally prefer 4 wheels since having my friends 4 wheel britax, but I had a 3 wheel for 3 years previous to that, and got used to handling it.
I think the 4 would be fine, the 3 gt would just be a little easier.

I have both. After having many many pushchairs over the years these are the two that I am seeing out my pushchair days (dd2 is 2.3). The 4 is a nice push, feels solid but compact and this is the one I'll hang onto for when she's older and doesn't use one but might want the occasional push.

The GT is just gorgeous and my utter favourite. It's lovely to push, very stable and a real workhorse of a pushchair. I usually drive but have been without a car for three weeks now and have fallen totally in love with the GT again. My 6 year old was in it on Sunday (lazy tyke) and it was plenty big enough for her. I can't sing its praises enough. When the time comes to sell it I will be devastated.

How is the GT up and down kerbs? I've never used a 3 wheeler, is it just different when you tip it up or down in that you are waiting for one wheel to make contact with the ground rather than 2?

Arrgh, I really like the idea of the GT now.

I'm a recent convert to a 3 wheeler, I've never hated them but always preferred 4. I finally found the closest thing to my perfect buggy but it was a three wheeler. It's a little tippy, I just adjusted. IMO the gt isn't tippy in the slightest as it retains a pretty wide and long wheelbase. As long as you don't mind it not being small then you can't go wrong imo.

I was just looking at the length, I may stay with the 4 wheel because it's a bit shorter. It will hopefully handle any woodland paths, I'm not planning any true off-roaring or anything.

I just need somebody to make decisions for me so I don't agonise over the smallest thing.

Absolutely no problem with kerbs and uneven pavements. Part of our school run the pavement is at an angle and the GT is just as stable as all the four wheelers I've had. It does have a very long wheelbase as has been said, and when I unpacked it I very nearly sent it back because it seemed so big but out and about it absolutely isn't big at all, it's just very solid. The BJCM4 would be fine on woodland paths though.

It's so hard to decide, I only got my hands on the 3 wheel City Mini as that was all the shop had in stock so haven't compared them side by side.
