I am limited to which double are available here so have been reading lots of reviews. Was looking at consumer magazine (NZ version of which) and it says it tipped when children were sat in it has anybody had this happen? Does it tip easily?

I love my BJCM GT double! We live up a hill and walking to the childminders involves going over a sometimes boggy, always bumpy field. It has never ever even come close to tipping over.
Hope this helps, I really need to sell mine now but am really reluctant because I love it so much!

Thanks that is helpful, lots of uneven ground here so if it was unstable it could really be a problem.

I haven't had a tipping problem with my 16kg toddler and new baby (in carry cot) even with a couple of bags on the handle bar. In fact I love this pram, very easy to push and steer one handed.

Cant imagine the GT double tipping as it is quite a beefy pushchair! I use it loads off road and it has never let me down yet. Love mine - have just got Elite too as a single option.

I can't see the GT double tipping either. It is very robust! We have very strict tests on tipping here in the UK, and I know several things which pass in other countries, but don't pass our tipping tests.

Thanks for that, I knew people here would have used it and would know what it was really like. Having done some more research it seams we have so few pushchairs because they most get imported to Australia as well, They have some rules That mean lots of buggies from the uk don't pass them. One of the rules seams to be that a child's head can't get stuck in the harness so there must not double over like straps used to do and when you undo it all the pieces have to unclipped by themselves. So some of the pushchairs get bad reviews here because they pass British standards but not the Australian one.
