Light, light, light - and parent-facing???

Ok, I moved a baby jogger at soft play the other day and couldn't BELIEVE the lightness! I love my Vista, but I have horrible back issues and think, for weight alone, it's time to move on.

I don't particularly want a jogger as a) they look pretty big/ long, and I need to be able to get on a bus, and b) I don't think they can rear face?

So, please ladies talk to me abut light rear-facing options. I'll be selling my good condition Vista, with never-out-the-box carrycot, so budget should be relatively healthy...

Bugaboo pushchairs are very light. As are oysters

I had a stokke with my first. I sold it when i got pregnant with my second and bought a p&t vibe thinking I wouldn't need a single. I was wrong!
A friend loaned me her bugaboo bee and it is feather light. Parent facing, small, very adjustable (can move the seat outwards when you want to) and there's storage underneath. It's been great and I'd definitely recommend.

I have bought a Bee for when this baby finally decides to make an appearance and although I haven't pushed it with a baby in yet I can say that it is extremely light and so easy.

It's worth looking at Babyzen YoYo. it is truely fantastically light, easy to fold (with one hand). My friend has one and I'm miffed I didn't know about it! Rear and forward and from birth.

Yoyo 0+ is only rear facing for newborn stage, after that forward facing.. But yes, tiny and light. For parent facing you're looking at a bee, Icandy raspberry when it comes out.. An oyster at a push or an Icandy cherry maybe.

But what about how low it is? I was tempted the first time round, but put off by how low the seat is. Has anybody, once having used it, found the seat horribly low?

Also, I'll be looking on the second hand market, so what's best the Bee or Bee plus?

Bee plus is newer model otherwise they're basically the same I think. I have the older one, friends have the newer, I can't see a difference.

I'm not keen on the Bee. Love chameleon though.

Hurry I'd love a Bee but I'm tall and each time I try one I'm always out off by the fact that my child is twenty millions miles away from me. I think it depends on how tall you are to be fair.

I have a Vista and a Bee - I love the Bee and don't find the height of the seat any problem.

How about a Baby Jogger with carry cot/car seat for parent facing? Cot sits nice and high on it.

Now that DS is 3 months and we've ditched the cot I remember why I chose the BJogger, I love how light it is yet very sturdy. The fold cannot be beaten!

I use mine regularly on public transport and it's a doddle.

The Bee seat height is fine but I hated the fact that I often had one wheel off the ground. The Raspberry IMHO would be worth waiting for if you are buying new. Its much more sturdy but still light, parent facing and easy to fold.
