Loola 2 - is it any good?

Hi my DD is 7 months so I'm thinking of getting a stroller- but I want one that goes parent facing.

I've tried the bugaboo bee but its too low to the ground ( found it was like pushing a wheelbarrow!)

Don't like the Quinny zap as its 3 wheels.

Found the loola 2 and I was wondering if anyone has anything good or bad to say about it?

Are there any other parent facing strollers out there?

Thanks!

I liked it loads when I saw it but I have never pushed it with a baby in so essentially... it could go either way. Loved the seat and the fold but if it's hard to push I would hate it iyswim.

The baby jogger city versa is brilliant but may be too big if you still have the small boot issue.

Is the boot long enough for an umbrella fold stroller like the petite star bubble?

Thanks, did you see my old thread about the fiat 500 boot?

I don't actually have a fiat 500, but I was going to get one, we brought the pram to the showroom when I was pregnant!

We actually have a bmax, and the moodd stands up ok in the boot, I don't need to take the wheels off. And after using a pram lots I can see what a pain it would be to need to take the wheels off each time.

I think I need to measure the bmax boot against the loola2 dimensions.
It does seem also quite heavy- but there is no perfect pram! And there's not many parent facing strollers so I guess that's my compromise.

Have you seen the babyzen yoyo? It folds up ultra small! If I got the fiat 500 then I would defo get it!

Ah, I'd love a b max. Those slidey doors. I bet a versa would fit in. The versa is fairly heavy to lift but not at all heavy to push. The loola is a bit of an unknown, by weight it does seem heavy but that won't necessarily translate into being heavy to push. Which are you more bothered about - light to push, light to lift or size.. or something else?

milktraylady · 29/11/2013 19:39

Ah yes the slidy doors are brilliant!

I guess it's light to lift that I'm bothered about. The moodd is amazingly light to push. You can literally push it in a circle with 1 finger, amazing.

Are all prams not like that? I assumed all modern prams were light to push?? (I was given a vintage silver cross pram- now that is like pushing a tank that doesn't steer)

I will check out the other one you mentioned thanks

I wish they were all like that but it does vary!

Shame the bee felt too low for you, always a good standby choice for light and parent facing. Plus folding in one piece. There aren't a huge amount of options that do that. I had a joie chrome that I really liked, very light to push, folds in one piece but again not particularly light to lift.

Have you looked at the icandy strawberry?

milktraylady · 29/11/2013 21:26

ok, looking on proper computer not just iphone, so can get proper websites :)

icandy strawberry looks too low, like the bee

the current contenders are: push me zebu, loola 2, m&p sola.
all pretty similar & similar prices

any views on any of these?

Don't think the strawberry is low.. Well not that I've ever noticed.
The sola is light, not a very small fold though. Icandy cherry? V light. Haha just realised I'm repeatedly recommending icandy, not on purpose.
I have a red kite zumi and it's really good imo, sometimes cheaper things are useless but not all. If you can see before you buy it helps a lot. If you have a kiddicare locally it might be worth a trip to see what you like IRL.

I have an urbo to go in the boot of my vw polo. The newer version i think folds with seat either way, on my second hand one i have to turn it back round to fold but that isn't a problem. It is quite compact but i think it is also quite heavy.
