First baby is due early next year and it's time to choose a pram but I can't decide between the icandy peach, Babyjogger City Versa and Uppababy Vista. We live in London so want something compact enough to occasionally take on tube and we walk a lot so it needs to be sturdy and be easy to push. And I am quite small so don't want anything too heavy. I like each of these three prams but something is holding me back from each. The Peach handles well and is sturdy but seems a bit heavy; the Uppababy is also nice and sturdy but seems a bit bulky and the BJCV is a dream to push and fold but carrycot seems a bit flimsy. Aargh! Are my requirements impossible to find in one pram?! Any pearls of wisdom will be welcome :)

When you say not too heavy is pushing it more important or lifting it?

The peach is a heavy pram to lift, because it's split into frame and seat the weight is not as noticable as it might be. To push it's very light so no issues there. Plus the only one of the 3 that would offer you an excellent double option should you need it down the line, especially with the parent facing peach 3 adaptors on the way next year.

The Vista gets such great reviews off everyone who uses it, there are many plus points and it's clearly well made however it's just too wide for me. IMO it would be a pain on public transport and crowded pavements. It's the only one of the 3 I haven't actually used.. largely because of the size and width. I also think the seat is a bit short in the back for an older child.

The Versa also is fab, the seat is massive, good basket, great fold, good to push. I found it fairly weighty to move around when folded. Plus the carrycot is not that well liked. I didn't use it but it's not the most attractive looking and some say it's a bit snug, leaving you a bit stuck if the baby outgrows it before they are ready for the bucket seat unit.

In your position other things I would also look at the graco evo and the easywalker mini.

I have the vista. It's incresiy easy to get on and off buses and up and down stairs. I've got it over a footbridge on my own without too much issue. Is quite bulky though.

Thank you! It's so helpful to hear from people who've used the ones we're considering.

I have had all 3 of these pushchairs - in fact, I dont own many pushchairs now, but I still have 2 of these which is testament to how good they are. The Vista and I parted company a while ago. I found it too big and bulky, and large to store. Fundamentally the pointy look is not me, I like rounded pushchairs (daft I know!). I have had 3 Peaches, and I love them. I never really have noticed the weight because the chassis is so easy to sling onto your shoulder, and the seat tucks under an arm. In fact the Peach would fold and unfold one handed with the baby tucked under your arm, and then would carry fairly well. The Versa too is a one handed fold, although it ideally is a 2 handed unfold. I thought the carrycot looked sturdy when I saw it. My 2 year old has been in it with no issues....I wouldn't let a carrycot that you use for 6 months put you off a pushchair that you may use for years (if you have more children). All of these three are excellent pushchairs and I would recommend whichever on your think suits your lifestyle and taste the best!
