lightweight double for overseas travel

we are planning a trip abroad when dcs will be 4 months and 21 months. dd1 can walk some of the time.

we have an oyster Max which we love but it is pretty bulky for plane/coach transfer etc.

I would just get a double McLaren type but am worried it won't fit through doors and into restaurants and that it will be odd when there is only one in it.

we will also use it a bit in the uk for quick trips from the car.

what shall I get?

will be an eBay/Gumtree job.

Argos claim their m and p umbrella twin.. this one is 66cm wide. I once emailed them to confirm, which they did and the info still shows it. That would fit through almost any door. I have to admit to being not entirely convinced however...

The nipper v3 double. Looks larger but very lightweight ( can push with one finger with children in), narrower than most so should fit though doors, folds in one piece so easy at airports, large tyres make it easy on beach, super comfy for up to 4/5 year olds if needed for sleeping somewhere/ in woods etc etc. and folds fairly small as folds in half rather than long ways ( so you can pile on top of airport trolley etc). Also has large basket to fit beach buckets/ towels/ nappies blah blah

I would buy a Baby Jogger City Mini Double TBH. Its flat for travel so less likely to get damaged when thrown on and off a plane. With the wheels popped off it will slide onto the top of even a packed car boot. Fab huge hoods, lots of storage, will fit through a standard UK door etc.

thing is is we were going to buy a nice double like a bjcm we would have done that instead of getting the oyster Max.

this one will have to be a cheapo - pref under £50.

sorry - should have said thanks tho!

and parties thanks for your recommendation - it seems to have poor reviews on Argos sadly. but it might be the fallback if we can't find a second hand to suit.
