Ok currently on another thread trying too get my head round the phil and Ted's sport it is a hand me down but nit feeling like I'm going to use it. I don't like the position. Of the newborn in the sports bag type arrangement ideally newborn would be in a carry cot. And I'd like to be able to separate the buggy for days when DD is at nursery. also the top seat is not comfy for dear daughter. I'm due this week so I need to get this sorted. I definnately need a buggy as DD is wild and I don't have a car, I live in a city and Do alot of walking I'm only 5.2 So nothing to cumbersome and as light as possible to get around shops etc. I'm wondering about icandy peach blossom and britax b-dual or city select all very expensive but since I dint have a car it's my only vehicle for getting out and about that's not unreasonable is it? Any ideas or comments welcome...... P.s sorry about any spelling mistakes, New phone. Thanks mumsnet

I think an oyster max would work nicely for you. The top seat will be big enough for your dd, get a carrycot for the lower position, which you can then use in the upper position when elder one isn't with you. Equally you can also use the main seat lying flat.

It's definitely what I would have had if it had been out when I needed one. I had a peach blossom 1 and although lovely and great for two sleeping children I never felt like it quite lived up to the rrp for me. Then a Jane Twone, which I fixed to work lovely for me but in original format it's not as user friendly as the oyster max.

Imo the city select is too heavy to turn and tip unless you really really want the seating configurations it provides.

I liked the b dual quite a lot, it's big though so if you're small it might be a struggle. It is the cheapest by some margin.

At the more budget end the smyths toys dimples duo offers a lot for the money, it may be too heavy for you to turn and tip, I was fine at 5'8" but my mum at 5'2" struggled.

just to add I love my oyster Max. am 5.2 with a newborn currently in the carrycot and 18mo on the top bunk. it is much lighter than a buggy to push and works perfectly for us.
