Buggies for tall Mums and Dads

Hi ladies

DH and I are expecting our first in December and have been doing the obligatory buggy reasearch and getting very confused! We were sold on the Oyster Max (we initially thought we'd get one that could go tandem), but having tried the Stokke I realised how valuable a nice high seat is given we are 5"10 and 6"1 and also the great view for the baby..... But the total lack of storage and complex fold has put me off. So we started looking around for tall buggies and found the Mima buggies and think they look fabulous, but haven't seen one in the flesh yet.

So I was wondering what advice other tall parents out there might have? In terms of what we need in a buggy....we're based in SW London, do our big shop at the supermarket or online, will use occassionally on grass/rough surfaces and travel fairly often (back to Aus w baby & buggy in Feb!).

Also, I saw on another post that someone suggested attaching the Joolz XL shopper to the Mima....great idea, but has anyone actually tried this?

Thanks in advance!
A

We have the Babyjogger City Mini GT, it has a great adjustable handle, so fits giant DH and mini me Smile

And forgot to add that the bassinet / car seat attachment on the Babyjogger also sits very high up so is easy to reach and chat (unlike the bugaboos, which are very low down)

Admittedly I'm only 5'8" so not very tall but I have never once felt that the height of the pushchair seat made any difference to the quality of interaction with a child. Nor am I convinced when riding in a pushchair with a lower seat that their view is massively different. Sure let these things be considerations for practical reasons but definitely choose the pushchair that works best for you in an all round sense. The joolz basket isn't huge either but the add on bag is fab, I have one on my britax b motion and it makes such a difference.

I've been surprised at how high up the front seat on the B dual is. I think the b dual is great for the price (loads of storage when used as a single too) and worth considering if you are hoping to need a double. Sure it's not as fancy as other ones and I would never have looked at it if a friend hadn't suggested it when we were both looking at doubles but I would definitely recommend it.
I am torn between continuing using it with the buggyboard or getting the Stokke back out as I think it has advantages over the Stokke and vice versa

I have a b-dual and am 5'9", I don't have the handle at its highest setting, and even the carrycot sits pretty high up. The basket is huge, and quite high off the ground. foot space if using as a double is great. Bottom seat is full sized. I have a SN 5yo in mine and baby in top or bottom. As bottom seat can also lie flat.
