Help needed for the next 'stage' of pushchair - where to start?

Bit of background. Have 2 DC, still using the same travel system/pushchair with DS as I did with DD. I also have a Smyths Dimples Duo that I bought when DS was born, and, I think, a Chicco London umbrella stroller that I bought from Asda.

The main pushchair we use is the Britax B-Smart 3, bought in 2010. At the moment, DS is just about able to fit in the infant car seat that goes with it, despite feeling like he weighs a tonne, so I am still using the travel system. However, as soon as he's in the next stage of seat, I think it might be worth getting a smaller-folding pushchair.

We will still hang on to the double, as a "just in case" when we are walking a fair bit, and the Chicco did a decent enough job on holiday. Unfortunately, the Britax is a bit bulky, but I like the features, although both DC seem to have 'slumped' in the seat when babies, and just don't look very comfy at times.

So the question is, where do I start looking? Cutting to the chase, are there any suggestions as to a pushchair that has some of the pros of the Britax (sturdy, big basket, adjustable handle, decent cosytoes, fairly good on all terrain etc) but doesn't take up the whole of the boot of the car? And one that's a bit higher quality/comfort than the Chicco.

Thanks for reading that essay!! And for any suggestions....

We moved from a B-Smart to a Maclaren (the Zodiac one) when DS was six months old. He has always seemed more comfortable in the Maclaren even though it's much cheaper and lighter. I do realise it doesn't tick all your boxes, but that transition worked for us.

Our Maclaren works well over rough ground, better than the Britax which frankly seemed a bit of a bone-shaker despite looking much sturdier! The cosytoes is better than the Britax one. Basket is smaller but you can hook things over the handles.

Thanks ellies, it's good to get an idea of what other people have. I will have a look at that buggy. As for the basket size, that's not a deal breaker really - the Britax one has an open back, doesn't it, so not always useful and have the hooks to go on the handles.

There are so many different pushchairs/buggies/strollers etc out there, it's hard to know where to begin, so thanks again!

Baby Jogger City Mini Gt / Versa GT / Elite?
iCandy Peach Jogger?
Nipper v2 or 3?
Easywalker June or Mini?

Thanks Tiggy. Not sure our budget an stretch to a new baby jogger city or iCandy but will keep an eye for 2nd hand models assuming people actually are able to part with theirs, I have buggy Envy. Will look at the other suggestions too, as these are unfamiliar.

What do you think of the Hauck Spirit? Very different to the Baby Jogger etc but as an umbrella fold, how does it stand up do you think?

Thanks v much
