S/Cross Linear freeway for 18 mth old?

Looking for a pushchair for my 18 mth old DD - for school run/walking in town.

Is the SilverCross linear freeway sturdy enough and comfy for a toddler. I want something a bit more substantial (and cosy for winter) than a standard stroller/buggy.

Thanks

Should add I'm thinking of 2nd hand, as I realise it's a big spend for probably only another year (or less)!

I had a linear freeway for a winter baby and you can't beat it for cosiness! But my God it steers like a tank. It weghed a ton with a 5 month old in so can't imagine how heavy it would be for an 18month old. But that said a major plus point is that baby can face you. I have a baby jogger city mini and whilst I love steering it onehanded, I really miss ds facing me.
I still have mine as a spare in the garage, if you are in the north east you are welcome to take it for a spin to test it.

Very kind offer; unfortunately we're too far away but appreciate the thought, and the reply. Thanks

I have one and ds is 14 months and in size 2-3 clothes.

It's a good buggy but I sometimes feel that ds doesn't seem to sit very upright in it, not as much as he does in a stroller type buggy. I often have to stop and pull him up a bit, despite the straps being done properly etc.

Personally I wouldn't buy it again ... I'd go for a quinny buzz or something like that.

I had the Linear Freeway for dd2. I loved it as a lie flat pram - big carrycot and I had the one that can be used overnight. DD slept in it till she was 7 months old.

Good sized shopping basket is a plus.

I found the pushchair mode a bit strange tbh. It is big and can face either way and the liner and cosy toes make it very cosy. I think it was just the look of it as a pushchair that I couldn't take to.

I know it isn't the easiest to manouver but I found mine fine in town. Definitely not an off roader though.

fairylea I found the same thing. I think it is because the seat part is very deep and the back positions are very good on it.

sorry aren't good on it.
