Silvercross Wayfarer, Bugaboo Bee plus or Babystyle Oyster Gem

Hope you can help. I'm really looking for a smallish lightweight buggy (Parent facing) which can be used from birth until toddler years. I'm only little (5ft) so find a lot of the buggy's rather large or heavy. I've looked at and played with the usual favourites i.e Bugaboo Camelon, Versa, Icandy, Vista and Cruz. The only one I slightly liked was the Vista but have read about its awful suspension.

I am also taken with the Bugaboo Bee plus its lightweight and easy to use but worried about its handling anywhere else other than shop floors or smooth pavements.
I've heard about the Wayfarer and Babystyle Oyster but have not had the opportunity to try these out.

Any one had a chance to play with them yet?

I had a terrible time with my Quinny so I think that's why I am dithering so much this time around.

Any help much appreciated?

That should read the Cruz' awful suspension. Sorry

We have terrible pavements and cobbles locally and i didn't like the oyster on them at all.. very bumpy ride. I like the wayfarer and I don't, i think it is pretty much what you're looking for in essence though. There isn't much flexibility over height of the child though, the seat is average sized but the hood is fixed and strangely bulky. I put my slightly larger than average 16m old dd in the seat and she filled it more than would be ideal. The bee plus is also good, i think it's okay on uneven pavements. At the end of the day compact but with better wheels/suspension etc is just a bit of a gap in the market.

I know two local shops say the Wayfarer is selling really well for them. I haven't had chance to properly try one out yet though. The seat size puts me off a bit.
Strangely I have a pushchair here which may suit you - its a Casual Play Neyo. The reason I say it might suit is because its got a curiously low handle. Its got a fab suspension - really bouncy. However its quite long folded but not hugely heavy.
Have a look also at the Easywalker MINI.

I had a Babystyle Oyster and now have a Bugaboo Bee Plus. The Babystyle is very heavy and clunky compared to the bee. I wish I'd just bought the bee right from the start - it does everything you need it to do.

I've just realised after looking at the thread title you're talking about the oyster gem. Tiggy loves hers.. i love mine. It's not often that we converge in opinion on a pushchair but the gem is it. I haven't tried it over rough ground yet though...

ooh I hateparties and Tiggywunkle, How did you get hold of the Oyster Gem didn't think they were out yet? What do you love about it? Do you think it would tick my list of requirements?

Its true Parties and I rarely agree on any pushchairs - we have very different needs and tastes although usually can appreciate why the other likes what they do. The Gem's are pre production pushchairs on test.
The Gem just ticks every box for me. Its not perfect but feedback has gone into Babystyle. But the chassis is dinky folded but yet the handle is tall enough when open for most people. The small seat can parent or forward face. I have a 3 year old in my seat and the Gem handles great and my DC loves it. There is also a fabric forward facing seat which reclines pretty flat. Theres also car seat and carrycot options. The Gem really does it all in a great looking small package. I absolutely think its going to be a huge hit because whatever you want from a pushchair it can do most things. There is a basket which looks small, but believe us, you can get a lot into it. The hood is good, the raincovers are good and included. The price is right for what it is. The recline is a bit hard, but not impossible and is very neat. It does everything that I have been looking for, for years in a small pushchair. There's no real compromise - its easy, small folding, good seats, basket space, good handle height, stable, loads of options. It works great!! I would happily sell one to everyone!! LOL
