Vista or versa vista or versa?!

Can't decide. The uppababy vista seems to come with everything you need whereas BG versa seems to need lots of extras e.g. Carry cot, car seat adapters. Also, prefer carry cot of uppababy but prefer fold with seat on facing either way of versa. I cannot decide and am being pregnant and useless! Perhaps I need to go and test both again. Any have experience of both and a preference?

Have you priced up the difference ie how much the Versa with carrycot and car seat adaptors are in comparison to the Vista as a package? Is there really much in it?

Personally I much prefer the Versa but I can appreciate that the Vista is very good with lots of features. The Versa is just more practical. A really good all round pushchair. I love the fold - its so quick and easy. Its neat folded too whereas I find the Vista is big folded.

We had a similar quandary (also including Bugaboo Cam 3) and in the end went for the Versa GT. If you search threads on here you should find detailing my reasoning! TBH I can't really remember it now but the easy fold was certainly a large part of it, and the fact that it's quite a compact fold when you factor in that the seat unit would have to be housed in the car separately too for the Vista, if that makes sense. Also we felt the Versa was just an all-round sturdier system with a slightly better build. Having said that, we have friends with the Vista who absolutely love it, and out it this way - if 'd been given one for free we wouldn't be complaining!

FWIW, I don't remember there being that much difference, package price-wise, between what you could get them both for, although I could be wrong!

We've taken delivery of our Versa GT now, but baby hasn't arrived yet, so I'm afraid I can't offer much in the way of practical experience with it yet, but give me 3-4 weeks and I'm on it! ;)

I love the Vista and when the baby is facing out, you can fold with the chair, only facing in is not possible, but easy enough to swap the seat around if you need it...

I also couldn't decide between the versa and the vista. Loved them both in the shop. I bought the versa in the end as it was really compact folded up (the vista took up my entire car boot), brilliantly easy fold with seat both ways, felt really nice to push and although it's only 3cm difference in width it really has made a difference for me as I was constantly misjudging the width with the vista (I ran over a few people's feet in the crowded pram sections of shops!).

We've only had the versa for two weeks now and only taken it out with the carrycot but it's great to push and store.
As for the price, we actually got all the parts for the versa cheaper then the vista package. It's really worth shopping around to see who has deals on.

Thanks all. I think the Versa is the best one for us as a last, third child buggy needing to last 3-4 years ( with a lightweight umbrella fold on standby for travelling abroad). I think the aesthetics of Vista might have temporarily swayed me eg colour options! Shallow? Yes! Wish the versa did a few more colours and believe the GT only comes in black?

It does only come in black but I reckon that gives you the perfect blank canvas for footmuffs, sheepskins etc!

Hyperhelpmum · 06/08/2013 19:00

Very true! :)

Can you recommend a good foot mug/ sheepskin that fits versa?! I'm having a girl so would like a lighter (not pink but not black) look! Thank you in advance!

Errrrr footmuff!!!!

I would love a foot mug, whatever one is...:)

John Lewis have nice-looking sheepskin liners, although they're sort of butter yellow rather than white/cream. Not cheap either. There's also a company called something like Gabe and Gracie that does a similar thing - they've been recommended to me but I'm not sure on price.

My baby won't be in the seat unit until around February but if I can find this thread then, I'll come back and tell you what we've gone for!

Hyperhelpmum · 08/08/2013 18:58

Actually mine won't until May! Durrrrr! Foot mug, maybe like a foot shaped mug?!
