Baby's learnt to roll- end of carrycot days?

My 3 month old is now constantly rolling. He is a big strong chap but still quite floppy consistent with his age
I would prefer to keep him in his carrycot (if I can find one that will still fit him) but couldn't find any old threads about whether this was a good idea or if he should now be strapped into the pushchair seat?
Not an issue I ever faced with DD who didn't bother rolling until 7 months or so, so am bit in dark.
Thanks

Okay, thanks Aidan- loving the Revenge tribute- yes, think I was worried about him rolling out.
Will let him be then!

Unless he can pull himself up over the sides he'll be fine imo. Dc2 was the same and slept in moses basket till 8 months and it didn't even occur to me.Possibly because she was so wedged in she couldn't really roll.. she bloody loved it in that basket Grin

Its very normal for a baby to roll at 3 months old - thats typical development! Until your DS is up on his knees and trying to climb out, I wouldnt worry! My DD could sit up at 3 months, but she was still in her carrycot until 6 months (by which time she could crawl!)

Great, thanks. DD just stayed put for first nine months so I had it pretty easy. Makes up for it now...
Just helpful to know that rolling out not seen as a risk. DH and I were also quite lumpen babies so whilst DS rolling may be normal he is pretty precocious by our lights!
Really hoping he's not an early crawler until I have sorted sleep and don't have open sided co sleeper cot anymore!
