(M&P's) Sola or (Quinny) Zapp Xtra?

...Can anyone recommend either, or do you have a pref for one? I'm watching one of each (2nd hand) on ebay. Our requirements:
Needs to be super comfy as LO only naps in pushchair
Pref light(ish) weight
Easy to fold
Sturdy + reliable
Parent and world facing
Thank you for any advice Flowers

Zapp is ace I think.

Folds down tiny, one handed steering, comfy seat and light.

Thanks Yoni, I have heard good things about the zapp.

Neither....
Sola - very long, poor quality, the seat recline isnt good, the basket is an odd shape, huge folded
Zapp Xtra - exposed seat, rattly wheels, possibly stiff (to the degree it hurts) opening system, low handles. I prefer this out of the two though.

What is your budget?

magicstars · 24/07/2013 07:05

I'd like to keep budget down as much as possible (£150ish 2nd hand), but as this is dd's preferred place to nap if needs be I will spend slightly more. What do you recommend?

I have the Sola and my LO (7m) likes it - but this is my first and only pram so not like I have anything to compare to! Three recline 'positions' but lie flat doesn't 'click' into place so I think is a bit bouncy - not that she cares. It is easily done to only click one side into place as you lift it up and down leaving the seat wonky.

Cost £185 ex display from M&P (to give context for ebay). I would be much more critical if I had paid full price I think.

I do a lot of walking (from the house) and the hall is pretty big so it spends most of it's time still 'up' in the hall. It fits the car boot but takes up a lot of space (Golf). Quick and easy to fold/unfold BUT you have to take off the seat first and you need two hands for both seat removal and folding mechanism.

My friend has another M&P model and a bigger child and I noticed the bumper bar is still really low - knee height ish - which is also where the the official foot muff sits. Rendering it pointless. I use blankets with holes for the straps, the baby uses it as a footrest at the moment. Its removable so will prob take it off in the future

Another friend commented the wheels are soft and the tread stripped on one of their's (also Sola) so they had to contact M&P who sent new ones. Mine are OK so far. Their kid is about 2.5 yo I think.

Oh and finally - no suspension, never thought about how bumpy the pavements are till I had a baby. It's a good job she doesn't know any different!

Thanks adagio, good to know about the discount online if we do get one, tho I'm not sure now.
We have a baby jogger city mini which we love, but I am tempted to try something parent facing as well... It's to be our new main so we can give the bjcm to gp's. Dd is 16months (tho small) so not sure how much use we'll get out of the parent facing option. As she only naps in pushchair, comfort is essential.
I've seen the 2 way version of bjcm, it looks great, I wish it was within our budget!

Sorry - i meant ex display, not online discount adagio.
Tiggy what do you think I should go for?
Thanks
