Just that really, early days for me pregnancy wise but i like to research things before i purchase them.
Has anyone had a babystyle oyster pram, how is to push, hold shopping, how long did the carrycot last you and was it worth the money?

I loved mine! They say that the pushchair part is unsuitable for under 6 months but DD was in it from 4 months as she wanted to be up and looking around, had no problems. I found it very easy to manouvre even with a c section scar. I found the shopping basket a bit small and it is awkward to get into when the carrycot part is on but got round that by getting one of those mummy clips and hanging my shopping off that. Mine was a gift, and yes I suppose it was expensive but then I used it every single day.

Currently using one for DD4.

Loved carrycot, worth every penny. I didn't use a Moses basket or crib at all as DD slept so well in it. A standard Moses basket sheet does not fit it though.

No problems with basket, use it every day for school run and I get book bags and lunch boxes in - once I got them all in a set way of packing it was fine.

Slightly disappointed with seat unit. It doesn't sit upright enough and DDs bottom slips. The hood and built in net to cover the seat with are excellent.

It's easy to push, light enough to push one handed and turns easily.

Love the idea of changing colour packs. I wish I'd waited to see if baby was a girl as I think I would've chosen a different colour to red - not that it matters much :)

I've got one Smile

Dd2 fitted in the carrycot until around 6 months but if it wasn't nap time from around 4 months I used the seat unit because she's a nosy little thing Grin. She is small though (9th centile). I used the carrycot for naps but Babystyle advised me that the carrycot isn't suitable for overnight sleeping (due to inadequate ventilation I believe).

It's a dream to push, I love the integrated sunshade and huge hood, and the basket is a good size. I use the Britax Babysafe car seat on it (I originally had a Babysafe II SHR but had to return two to the shop as they both developed faulty handles within days of purchase so I went for the cheaper model and we've had no issues with it at all).

The Oyster has also developed faults - within a few months of normal use the adjustable handle broke - Babystyle fixed it and returned it within a few days. A few weeks later the folding clip snapped - again they replaced the faulty part. Then the brake broke (Shock) - this time they sent me a brand new chassis Grin and since Christmas it's been fine (touch wood! Grin). I can't fault their customer service at all!

I love my oyster but for me the carrycot was a total waste of money. I paid an additional 150 for it with a colour pack and used it twice and didn't even put the colour pack on so still in the bag with tags on.My baby had reflux so would not lay down so used the maxi cosi pebble instead.
I'm about to sell my oyster and get something else as as much as I love my oyster and my little one is only just turned 9 months I find it a bit of a pain taking it apart to put in the car. You can fold itin one but I find it bulky. def glad I bought it as lug and good size basket underneath but for me should not of wasted money on the carrycot.
