Can anyone help me out?

So far, I have only found the Britax B-Smart and the Mothercare one.

Does anyone have either of these and can give advice or does anyone know of any others???

Many thanks

Umm maxi cosi mura.. teutonia spirit s3 (which has a lie flat seat but i think they say they're not suitable from birth) the casualplay kudu 3.. erm erm.. Ah! Tfk joggster twist with multix carrycot/convertible seat thingy.

Is there a specific reason you want 3 wheels or can you expand to anything terrain friendly?

wallpaperaddict · 05/06/2013 20:48

I had a b-smart, it was okay! The seat laid flat for use from birth, really easy to adjust seat and switch forwards/rear facing. Great big basket, lovely big hood that's extendable. Surprisingly light to push. Only really downside was that it was big folded so check sizes of any car boots you want to fit it in!

PotteringAlong · 05/06/2013 20:49

I had a quinny - I liked it!

sugarandspite · 05/06/2013 20:51

Do NOT buy a mothercare MY choice / MY3.

Pile of badly made shite that is practically guaranteed to break - the adjustable handle always breaks and often the foot break releases randomly. Car seats are a nightmare to get off and the belly bar is perfect height for baby to chew the foam padding off.

Check out the new baby jogger versa gt. Not 3 wheels but is the dogs bollocks.

Thank you all, we like country walks and the in laws live at the beach so I wanted a 3 wheeler as I thought they would be better than 4??

Googling the suggestions! Keep it coming

Quinny buzz, fits all that but perhaps not the best all terrain buggy.

Just because it has three wheels doesn't necessarily mean it will cope well beach or off road. You should look at a mountain buggy or maybe nipper 360 but you might struggle to find a parent facing pushchair for all terrain.

TheFutureMrsB · 05/06/2013 21:12

I have this and I really love it, you can buy the carrycot and car seat that clip onto the frame too making it suitable from newborn.

It is available in red and black too.

Peach jogger is 3 wheels, parent & rear facing but seat unit only from 6 months so u'd need a carrycot, if that's not a problem? Can't comment on how good it is offroad as don't own one, but am looking for something similar & came across it as a possible.

How soon do u need one? Bugaboo have the new Buffalo coming out Autumn 2013 - although like the peach its a separate carrycot for the first 6 months.

I can also second the versa recommendation - went to look at one yesterday & seems great.

Ihateparties · 05/06/2013 21:26

The tfk is a proper terrain pushchair that will handle some rough ground. For genuine hard off roading you would most likely be looking at something more hardcore, mb terrain, bj summit or a bob of some kind all of which forward face beyond the carrycot stage.

If you're looking for something that is more generally robust that will cope with light off road walking, bit of beach etc. then I would defo consider 4 wheelers too as you will have more choice.

Really consider your actual needs too, day to day. Whatt will you be doing most often.. and where etc. My3, b smart or buzz are long way from genuinely good on terrain imo, there are very many better options but your priorities are the main thing. Parent facing seat may take presidence over genuine off road qualities.

Before someone says it you can and people do use the ones mentioned off road, all I mean is if you're starting from scratch there are better options for that.

wallpaperaddict · 05/06/2013 21:27

Don't buy a quinny buzz, definately not all terrain! The b smart will cope with country walks and beach, mine did both plenty. But if I were you I'd look at baby jogger versa and uppababy vista. Not 3 wheels but will cope with what you want. Vista carrycot is so lovely too, seat not from birth but carrycot comes in the package. I'm not sure actually, don't think versa seat is from birth so may need a carrycot too. Sorry not much help there really!

Oh btw I do have a M&P 03 sport. Its forward facing but can rear face with the primo viaggio carseat. Its a bit large when folded & its on the heavier side, but its lovely to push & fab through woodlands, fields & on the beach. I'm loathed to get rid of it really but I've downsized my car & it won't fit!!! Like pp's said, there always seems to be some sort of trade-off with all-terrain pushchairs.

sugarandspite · 05/06/2013 21:37

Also, we truly thought we'd use the pushchair off road lots but in fact we hardly ever do - we nearly always just use a sling (stretchy wrap at first and then an ergo) as the type of off road walking we do tends to feature stiles, very muddy ground, locked gates etc.

I'm looking now for another pushchair suitable for off-roading, compact ish for going in the car and nice to push and parent facing. I'm pretty decided on the baby jogger versa gt as it does EVERYTHING!

Laquila · 05/06/2013 21:43

I have a Baby Jogger City Versa GT on order

Sounds as though it would be ideal for you, OP (but yes it does need the carrycot from birth)

Tiggywunkle · 05/06/2013 22:53

I think it depends on your beach TBH! We lived by the seaside and used to take things like our Nipper, Cameleon, Peach Jogger, TFK etc on all the time. The Versa GT didn't cope well with the beach though, nor did our Phil&Teds.
If you have money to burn look at the new Bugaboo Buffalo because that should be great for the beach based on what I know of the Donkey.
Be careful because just because a pushchair has 3 wheels doesnt mean its any good off road!
I think the Peach Jogger was one of my favourites....

BrienneOfTarth · 05/06/2013 23:10

I had the predecessor to the B-smart (it was back in 2009 - called the Vigour back then) - I thought it was a great chair and worked really well for us. There were a few niggles which were all fixed in the B-smart re-release (which a friend of mine has and she loves).

Is quinny actually suitable from birth as a seat these days? When I last needed to know, it was only from birth with a carrycot, whereas I think the OP was asking for one where the seat can be used from birth without having to fork out an extra £100+ for a carry cot which will be only used for 6 months. This was also important to me, and the Britax ones are great as the chair folds down completely flat so is genuinely fine from birth without a carry cot.

Elly1981 · 06/06/2013 06:21

I think the Jane slalom reverse ticks all your boxes, parent facing, 3 wheels, from birth and proper all terrain!
We went for a Jane trider (cos I thought it was much nicer looking!!) But it has a bucket seat so isn't suitable from birth, you need to buy a carrycot too.

Laquila · 06/06/2013 08:58

The Jane Trider has the Matrix system, whereby the you can also buy a carrycot that converts to a car to a lie-flat car seat. Also, I have to say that the seat unit on the Jane Trider looks like the comfiest I've ever seen - comfier and more suitable than some of the from-birth ones I've seen! Very very bouncy suspension though.
