When do we move DD from pram/carrycot to pushchair (Jané Trider)?

As the title suggests really Grin

DD is 15 weeks, has good head control and can sit well when supported, she is very keen on trying to sit up too. She's 13lb 5oz. Planned to do all the Crimbo shopping today at Bluewater and had to be carried everywhere as just would not settle in the carrycot/pram and seemed so bored and frustrated. She was far happier being able to flirt with all and sundry together with DH who thought it was wonderful receiving cooing & admiring glances from the ladies whilst carrying her see what's going on in the world. We could have put her in the Babybjorn sling but not sure if this is healthy to use/sleep in for several hours?

I'm wondering when DD can be put into the pushchair instead of the carrycot? We have a Jané Trider. Thanks folks.

Honestly, I would wait to as near 6 months as you can get. Maybe use the sling when she's awake and lie her down to sleep?
Ultimately it is your choice what you do.

I have a twone, which has the same seat, it's pretty roomy, as tiggy said I would keep her lying flat where possible. I do remember the feeling of wanting to move onto the next stage with dc1 but she is still very little. There are issues with breathing in younger babies in bucket seats, same as in car seats. I remember reading somewhere to get the effect put your chin on your chest and compare breathing like that with breathing with your head normally raised. So where she may hold her head up much of the time when she sleeps etc. it may be difficult to keep her in the right position.
That said I am not a totally by the book person either, in a peach double with bucket seat i used a wedge headhugger from a stokke to flatten the baby's back so she was lying almost flat but could see out better. Did this from 15 weeks as i didn't want to invest in a carrycot at that stage, this was dc3 so i was no longer harbouring any illusions that she couldn't rein in her own nosiness until she was old enough to sit upright in the seat, it was a budget based decision :-)
