Peach Blossom 2, BJCM duo or BJCS tandem

OK, I will admit with several BlushBlushBlush that I am not actually PG yet....

I have a DS (12 months) who was IVF and in a couple of months we are going back for FET with 2 embryos we have stored. I am a complete and utter anal planner a bit of planner and was thinking pushchairs (despite being convinced that the embryos won't defrost/implant but that is another thread entirely!)

So if I end up with twins what is best? May need a buggy board too...

I have an Uppababy Vista for DS which I LOVE. He has only ever been RF in it as I love a chat/gaze. The carrycot was awesome. He has a Maclaren Quest for nursery now which I prefer less as he is lower down and FF - but it lies almost flat and he sleeps way better in it.

Preferences for carrycots, car seat adapters (MC Pebble) and the ability to RF, which I realise discounts the BJCM, but I hate the look of tandems where the baby on the bottom faces into the seat in front (yes P&T, I am talking about you).

So that's is really. Again Blush but I am keen to canvas opinion and save for the potential expense

Peach Blossom is great for steering, looks and narrow width, but the babies both have to FF once in the proper seats, so the lower baby looks at the back of the upper baby. I have the old version but have been told that the 2012 version is much better re space between seats and the ability to position both seats upright or reclined (currently lower seat won't go properly upright)

I don't have experience of the other two but sure someone will come along soon who has. And best of luck with the IVF.

The key thing about tandems is very rarely is the lower child looking at the seat in front, they simply turn their head and look another way Grin I understand that the idea is unappealing, paricularly to adults but in reality most children seem to cope fine. If they were in the lower seat for hours on end it might be a different story but for normal use I have used and have seen a LOT of other people use tandems without problems.

If you are potentially looking at 3 children under 3 this is a whole different ball game than tandem vs double... Probably not worth detailed thought until you have some certainties on numbers and ages gaps etc.

Good luck with all this!

Wouldn't it be easier to just get the rumble seat for your Uppababy Vista?

If you wanted a new pram, the Babystyle Oyster Max looks good (due out at the end of 2012)

The Rumble seat is only suitable from 6 months, and can't be used with the carrycot. I wouldn't be comfy having a baby in the car seat (which would work with the rumble seat) for any length of time.

Liking the Oyster Max!

Honestly a lot of the twin mums I speak to end up with both a tandem and a side by side. I would spend the money on a Peach Blossom 2 because its just easy to use, light to push and should serve you well right to the end of your pushchair days. And then add in a second hand (or new!) Baby Jogger - whether its a City Mini, GT, Elite or Classic....or a TFK Twinner Twist Duo.
