Which tandem buggies are 'bus friendly'?

There's not a lot of space on busses for buggies, so I'd like something that ideally is not bigger than a standard one baby buggy - width and length wise.
Any suggestions?

The iCandy Peach and the Jane Twone are short for tandems but nowhere near as short or narrow as a single umbrella style buggy.. I'm not sure that's possible Confused

Phil and teds are fairly compact doubles but still pretty long in reality.

What sort of thing are you looking for, an umbrella fold tandem type thing or something more substantial and for what age children?

The Pear is even shorter but it's got a huge turning circle. Both the Peach and Twone will turn pretty much on the spot. A Baby Jogger City Select is also very eat as the seats fit inside the chassis apart from in carrycot mode - unless you put the carrycot at the top but then I worry about seeing not being the feet of the front child which would be important in a small space like a bus.

I have a phil and teds, highly recommend it! I love it as it is really easy to switch between double and single,

Thanks for all the replies.
It's not needed yet, as the new baby is not due til January, but doing research in advance never hurt anyone. By then the older baby will be 1 1/2 years.

A bit low on cash so it'll be a 2nd hand one and I think pricier brands like eg. iCandy is out of the question. Still, too many choices out there.

To be honest, when you get down to it there aren't that many good double choices. All have compromises and limitations :(

Agreed.. I thought icandy was out of the question too but you can sometimes swing it. Less so the Peach 2 though. I saw Phil and Teds Dot and Navigator in a shop the other day, never been a p and t fan but oddly I really loved the dot, the wheels just made it feel a lot smaller although in reality it isn't that much smaller. Still seemed long though but I am used to a different style of tandem.

By January there will be the micralite twofold, babystyle oyster max..

Would you anticipate needing to fold for the bus??
