How to tell age of Uppababy Vista

We've been looking at secondhand models but there seemto be slight differences, some have black wheel spokes and some are chrome for example. Does it matter? Are there any huge differences between older ones and how can I tell which year it's from?

I have a 2010 Vista which has a black ''graphite' frame- it was the special release that year in yellow ('Maya'). The others when we were looking had chrome coloured frames. Not sure about the spokes, don't think I've seen one with chrome?

Mine has a 'born in...' sticker on the chassis.

Hope someone a bit more useful will be along shortly :)

There's also an issue because the UK got one version before the US! I am not even going to try and work it out! LOL

Tiggy, we bought it in the end to try it against a Britax Vigour 3+ and the issue was moot as it has a big sticker on the frame proclaiming when it was 'born' Grin It says November 2007 so a pretty old one but differences seem minimal with the newer models. All said though, after trying them both out we're actually going to keep the Britax which isn't really what I expected! It feels more solid (probably due to the lack of suspension in the frame in truth) and not quite as long in front. Ds seems happier lying completely flat too, and he's already, at 4 months old, too big for the carrycot. The Vista's a lovely pram though, it's just not for us. I wish the Britax had the Vista's basket though, but you can't win them all.

stoooooopidpigeon Glad you got the one that worked for you, trying them is really good for unexpected decisions. I too am a lie flat fan incidentally and I wish more prams had this feature instead of the carrycot then bucket seat . I know that tiggy disagrees though! Grin

ihate, I really hope we've made the right choice. I think we have, the fact it was only 40 quid is a bonus too. For us I think the Uppababy just has a few too many niggles that I know will bug me every time I use it. I'm used to the rock solid construction of the mountain buggy and so everythign we try in comparison feels a bit flimsy. I didn't like the telescopic handle as it just didn't feel as rigid as I feel it should. I also felt like I was at the helm of a tank Grin Ds will be disappointed though as he loved the buggyboard, but we have the Kiddyboard on the back of the MB so can still hitch a ride every now and then. JUst a shame it won't attatch to the Britax.

Unless it plans on falling apart tomorrow I don't think you can go far wrong for £40! Ah,does the seat sit high enough above the basket to use one of those metal framed shopper bags inside it? The ones with two metal carry handles, a metal rim around the top then canvas type fabric for the bag bit iyswim? A couple of people on here use or used those in the basket of the Brio Go which is either quite shallow or a long distance below the seat I'm not sure which!

Personally I think it might be useful if some company had a bash at making something that only faced rearwards, to give something like that solid feel your describe with the MB. To some degree every reversible buggy I have ever had has felt more "wibbly" (or something like that) than those that have a fixed forward facing seat. A fixed parent facing seat would fix that on some levels and I don't think I would be the only person who would consider buying one..
