I am due with my first baby at the beginning of December and have started to look at prams. Each of our friends have recommended different ones and I am finding it all abit of a minefield. So I was hoping for some advice. Our criteria is:

  • easy/quick to fold down/set up
  • can face away and/or to the pusher.
  • we have a dog so need something that can go slightly off-road, so across unmowed grass, rough roads with some pot holes and in woods.
  • can fold down quite small so we can fit pram and dog into the boot of my Toyota Auris.
  • we have a pretty good budget but not super expensive.
  • light and easy to handle so not heavy and hard to handle when walking with the dog on the lead.
  • something that will last from newborn to an age where they will not need a pram.

I dont know how big an Auris boot is, but I would have a look at the Easywalker June, the Baby Jogger City Versa GT, maybe a Nipabout, iCandy Apple and Peach Joggers or Bugaboo Cameleon. I know the June and Peach Jogger will both fit in a Mini boot and I bet the Versa would too.

It doesn't rear face but is suitable from birth- phil and reds e3- it is my fifth and hopefully last buggy and I love it! And can be used as a double in the future! Not the prettiest but fantastic to push and solidly built.

We have iCandy peach jogger for dd
£750 including carrycot, maxi cosi cabriofix car seat and the adapters
Fits in dh's KA boot (the tiniest boot in the world)
Nice chunky tyres and handles really well. Can practically push it round with 1 finger.
I also do a lot of trails/field/wood walks with the dog as well as buggy fit n so far no complaints
It's also got a really big accessible basketGrin

But all I can say is get out there b go twosome shops b have a play with a few n get a feel for it!
