Pushchairs
easywalker June price?
peanutMD · 01/08/2012 09:36
Does anyone know how much this is going to cost?
KosherBacon · 01/08/2012 15:47
I emailed a supplier and was told
Silver chassis £529.99
Black Chassis £559.99
Carrycot          £149.99
peanutMD · 01/08/2012 16:04
Wow that's way out of my budget then!
I wad hoping for around the 300 mark :(
Tiggywunkle · 01/08/2012 16:08
No its not cheap and one of the first things Easywalker say in their sales pitch is that it isn't cheap. But its a top end quality pushchair and TBH I think it quite rightly sits in the Cameleon / Bee / iCandy Peach & Strawberry price bracket.
peanutMD · 01/08/2012 16:11
Back to the drawing board then.
don't suppose you've tried out the Jane solo reverse?
peanutMD · 01/08/2012 16:17
Oh that's not a good reply :o
I shelled out for the big 500 pushchair last time, then got an energy, 03 sport, xt and finally a bjcm which I loved but think I'd rather have rf up to 18m atleast as I liked having this with ds.
Bloody confusing, pushchairs should be standard issue :o
Tiggywunkle · 01/08/2012 16:24
No, ignore me, it just doesn't appeal rather than anything being wrong with it!!
If you were issuing a pushchair as standard though, what would it be???!!
peanutMD · 01/08/2012 16:26
I have no idea I'm not sure they've made it yet :o
Probably a cheaper June with baby jogger fold lol
Ihateparties · 01/08/2012 19:11
So baby jogger versa... isn't that going to be circa £400... ?? Or am I woefully wrong
Lydali · 01/08/2012 21:32
I loved the look of the June as soon as I saw it. But then I heard about the price and immediately vetoed it, lol.
peanutMD · 01/08/2012 23:35
Parties the Versa is £375 at preciouslittleone.com, not sure about else where but it looks pretty big.

I've spent ages tonight looking at the Versa v's the June v's the Cruz - probably three of the best and most practical pushchairs of 2012...and the Versa is long when open but its definitely the most compact when folded. The June and Cruz feel longer folded whereas the Versa does feel compact. The Versa and the Cruz have the huge shopping basket whereas the June's is smaller. The Cruz and June weigh the same, the Versa is heavier. I didnt think the Versa felt that long when open and I am wondering how much the rotating handlebar is affecting the length measurement - the other two have extending handlebars. But the Versa has similarities to the City Select, and the wheelbase on that is long. The Versa didn't feel as long as the single City Select and yet the measurements show they are the same length. But again I don't know how much the rotating handlebar affects this measurement as the City Select also has an extending handlebar. The Versa and June have the better wheels (either version of the Versa) and I suspect better suspension. The Versa fold is one handed. It is 2 handed on the Cruz - I dont know about the June but I suspect 2 handed.
There's no doubt at all that when you first see it the June looks dinky - but its deceptive - the lower seat with chunky tyres probably detract from the handlebar.
They all have something to offer:
The Versa has the fabulous one handed fold with the seat in either direction - into a very neat compact package. The seat is huge and the basket is huge plus it has all the other Baby Jogger trademarks which will make it great eg huge hood, easy recline etc
The June has the off road wheels - so can go anywhere. Again a huge seat, but different because its not a bucket seat and lies flattish from the join. Neat, and tidy looking. Heavier than it looks. There's attention to detail eg the hood hides away neatly. But it is expensive - but I think worth it because it will definitely take you from birth to 3/4 without needing a stroller.
The Cruz has the massive basket, fab seat unit, easy seat swap around, tall handlebar, very manoeuverable. Simple but effective. But it is an about town pushchair really.
I really want a combination of all 3!!!
The Baby Jogger easy fold with a huge basket, but with the great looks and neatness of the June and the ease of use, sun visor, basket of the Cruz! Plus chunky wheels to take me anywhere!
peanutMD · 02/08/2012 09:43
Wow Tiggy that is a fantastic comparison!
If I had the cash I would definitely go for the June but there is no way I could stretch to this unfortunately.
I haven't seen any of these pushchairs IRL but I'm not sure about the Cruz at all, it just reminds me of a Luna for some reason and after reading your post about suspension I'm really not sure.
Although the baby jogger was my favourite by far last time I'm just not sure the Versa would be the same but I may try and see at some point to make up my mind although again I'd have to but the carrycot which again would take it way over my budget.
its made all the more confusing this time because I will be walking (not off road but cobbles, bumpy pavements etc), using the bus, taxis, leaving the pushchair at nursery from about 6 months and travelling for 4/5 hours train ride to visit family once or twice a year.
I'm starting to think I may need 2 cheaper pushchairs or recessive the rear facing option :(
Tiggywunkle · 02/08/2012 11:00
Believe me the Cruz is nothing like the Luna!!
I was going to sell the Cruz but I have decided to keep it and live with it for a while....I am not convinced but we do a lot of grocery shopping and I got two baskets full home on the Cruz plus importantly I could put a basket under the pushchair whilst I went around the shop too - and although it may seem like a small thing, it could actually make the Cruz worth staying here!!!
I dont think I would use the Cruz on your bumpy pavements and cobbles though. But I was watching the Baby Gizmo comparison with the Vista last night and the Vista would serve you well....
We didn't need rear facing at all until very recently when major separation anxiety kicked in (aged just under 2) and my son now cries if he can't see me. As a baby until about 20 months, he fell asleep instantly every time we left the house. I really don't see it as a necessity unless you, or the baby wishes it IYKWIM. I see my children for the 12 hours or so they are awake each day and I think it gives us all a change to see something else. Like I said, forward facing is now a huge issue for us, and so now at this point I am having a rethink. If you did have a carrycot then thats usually rear facing, and car seats usually rear face. I think when you move into the land of double pushchairs, you can't afford to be fussy!! The ability to push the pushchair is more important!! :o
peanutMD · 02/08/2012 11:25
Haven't looked at the vista as I'd heard out was huge in size and price.
I hate being on a budget :(
