hiya all, first time mum alert..
due in dec with DC1- and me and DP have NO idea whats going on with pushchairs

we the majority of the functions on the quinny buzz- i like that the baby can face me, and lie down (but hated the fact their legs would be in the air?!)
liked how easy it was to use, and the fact it had a compable car seat..

is there anything similar to the quinny buzz 3 that might be more suitable (got a small vauxhall corsa- boot space limited) or is this going to be my best option..

or.. suggest something totally different- open to all ideas!!

thanks :)

corsa boot and buzz? unless you have a roof rack, don't even think about it! seriously, keep away from the buzz- just do a search on here and see how much it's disliked due to its wide load, awkward fold and ..err.. everything else! Have you considered the bjcm or the icandy cherry? there are plenty of first buggy threads on here, take a peek at them.

Although I have a buzz and I really like it... It's fine in my Clio, I got it at a special price on Amazon and it does everything I need it to.

I had a Buzz when DD was newborn, I really liked it for the first 12 months. It was really solid and well-made, DD found it comfy and slept well in it and I found it easy to fold. But it is heavy and wide, when she got to 12 months I bought something lighter and smaller. Buzz's are not liked on here but I liked mine for a newborn. I just wouldn't consider it as the only pushchair purchase you'll make as I couldn't imagine using it with a 2 or 3 year old....unless you're very strong!

thats the thing, for that price i want to be able to use it forever for a decent amount of time!!

I see older children in buzz's all the time round here but stopped using mine at 12 months in the hope it would do for baby no 2!

Yes it is wide (we had a van so wasn't an issue lol) so can't comment on boot space but I loved my buzz! I've had 3 prans/buggys since (i prefer new prans to shoes!) and nothing compares I love it x

Ours was brilliant with the carrycot and with the cat seat fixings. From ~6 months we used the buggy. I'm now fed up of it - Ds is 14 months - as it's too big and the straps are fiddly. I also find it very difficult to fold without taking seat off. Ours will be.going up the attic as soon as I get a raincover for our cheap stroller. Either that or another wee buggy, haven't quite convinced Dh decided yet.

My buzz 3 fits in the boot of my Suzuki swift, but I hate it.

Personally I don't think the Buzz is inherently awful but there are SO many other options now compared to when it first came out. Don't you need a carrycot to use the buzz with a newborn, maybe not as I know there are different seat inserts involved but I thought basically nothing with a bucket type seat was suitable from birth.
My list of things to consider would include: Babystyle Oyster, Mutsy Evo, Graco Evo, Easywalker June (££££ alert) maybe a bugaboo bee (or cam, or gecko if you don't mind the 2 piece fold) if you don't have much terrain to contend with, Baby Jogger City Mini or maybe Versa as that has reversible seat until for longer term, beyond carrycot stage. Some sort of Jane - the Muum has a lovely seat unit, a Rider maybe. I hear good things about the Joolz Day. Tiggy had a My Child Pinto to review and she liked that quite a lot plus it's good value. I have had an iCandy Cherry and Peach, lovely but issues with their customer service and ongoing problems with their pushchairs. Not sure where I stand on these.
There are more that just aren't coming to mind at the moment. You have loads of time to go see things, get hands on, you'll find out better the type and style of thing you yourself will prefer. Quite a few of us who have had too many prams to mention still have very different tastes and opinions on the best stuff. Grin

I agree really. I have a Buzz here and whilst it's not terrible there are loads of nightly points to it and some more seriously annoying ones. I have had a stack of single pushchairs and the Buzz would be near the bottom of the pile along with the Sola. I'm fact I am on a mission to drag mums out of M&P and Mothercare and into independent shops to discover brands like Mutsy, Easywalker, Uppababy, iCandy, Joolz and more. There's some fab pushchairs out there and I urge you to find a couple of decent independent shops and have a good play!
