Double pushchair.....

I currently own a iCandy peach blossom for my 2DD's (DD1 almost 2 and Dd2 8 months) but I have become a bit meh about it! I wanted to upgrade it to the new PB2 but can't get the same colour and don't want non matching so I think it might be time to get a new pushchair.... :)

Ideally I would like one that folds with all the seats in tact, I dont mind whether it it is a tandem or side by side. Having said that for holidays I have used a mclaren twin and am concerned about how much it pulls to DD1's side so don't know whether this rules side by sides out?

I would ideally like to get something second hand as am already on 4 pushchairs in 20 months...

Mumsnet jury over to you please!!!!

Nipper 360 Smile

It's one of the lightest doubles on the market, much smoother to push than a Maclaren and folds all in one piece.

Ps. I used to have a p&t vibe but really didn't like it much. So heavy and bulky and the bottom seat is short and uncomfortable.

Ooh I quite like the look of that lilbreeze, now to find one near me!

You need a quality side by side and it won't pull - a Nipper is ideal but consider getting the new narrower version thats due out any day now as you will never be stuck taking a wheel off outside a shop or doorway! All the Baby Jogger side by sides are fab - I prefer one with an adjustable handle as walking with a side by side is different to a tandem - so the GT or Elite - but they are heavy to lift. A TFK Twinner Twist Duo, Air Buggy Mimi Double, an Easywalker Duo are all oter suggestions.

Bugaboo Donkey! The perfect double Smile

It is if you have somewhere to leave it up and ready to go - in that instance its brilliant. But if storage is limited either in the house or the car and you have to convert it all the time then its not much fun. I am not even sure the more compact new chassis will make that much difference but I look forward to seeing because anything will be better :)

Baby jogger city mini all the way, one handed fold in one piece, easy to push, fully lay flat, massive hoods, and very light.
I love my mountain buggy duo its fantastic but for travelling and getting in and out of the car its STUPENDOUSLY heavy and large, but ideal if yOu have hallway space to store it and dont need to move it around in cars.

I have to convert mine EVERY time. To be honest its not that much bother. Iam so used to it now it takes me about 15 seconds? Its fiddly at first but liked anything you get used to it!

Mine was just impossibly hard to convert. The clips refused to drop in without putting it on its end and visibly looking for the hole and then pushing hard. By the time I had wrestled with the chassis, got both seats on, both children on, (never mind raincovers or footmuffs!) i was ready for a sit down rather than going out! Never mind the annoying times when you forgot to do a clip up, had to remove the children and start again! Grrr! The Peach Blossom is bliss to set up in comparison. But I loved seeing the children in the Donkey. I just wish we had somewhere to leave it permanently up.
