BJCM 3 wheel or 4 wheel.

I have pretty much decided that i want to get a BJCM, for DC2 due in October, but I can't decide whether to get a 3 wheeler or 4 wheeler.
For DC1 in 2007 I had a Quinny Buzz ( 3 wheel) which I was never really happy with. I found it very difficult to push particularly up and down kerbs, but I think this was because it was so big and heavy. I pushed a 3 wheeler around John Lewis and it seemed very easy to push but they didn't have a 4 wheeler to try.
We will mostly use the pushchair in town and on the school run but it will also probably go to the beach.
Before anyone suggests it I don't really want to spend the extra to get a GT or the new Versa.
So which should I get? ( also happy to have suggestions for other pushchairs in the same price range)
TIA.

Hi, I have used both and have opted to stick with the 4 wheel.
It is only my opinion but I never really liked the look of 3 wheel pushchairs and just prefer the 'look' of the 4 wheeler!
Unfortunately, they are more expensive so that may be something to take into concideration?
I feel the 4 wheel is sturdier to push, and if you are going to invest in the carrycot or car seat adaptors may be somethingto think about for going up curbs etc but both the 3 wheel and the 4 wheel versions are great - in town, country walks out and about etc.
I would maybe think the 4 wheel is slightly heavier due to the additional wheel but nothing noticable (as actually on the 3 wheeler it is like 2 wheels put together iyswim?).
Fold is just the same.
It is a great choice no matter what one you go for.
I think the 3 wheeler on Boots this now is down to £199 and then you can usually find a 10% off discount code which will take it down considerably and Boots points of course! Whereas, the 4 wheel is £279 on boots I think (could still use discount) but can buy via other retailers for £249ish so it is quite a big difference if you aren't really fussed and it comes down to pennies (and points!).
Have a look at www.bestbuggy.com as I am sure they have a review and perhaps comparison of both which maybe able to give you different things to consider.
Have fun shopping!
Hope this helps a bit :) x

Also forgot to say the 4 wheel model has a lovely black frame and only the choice of 3 colours - black, crimson and stone. The 3 wheel has a silver frame and has the extra option of a purple colour. Again aesthetics but you may take them into consideration.

Hope someone else is along soon with more things to consider :)

Thanks liswee that's helpful, i'll have a look at best buggy. Think I am siding towards the 4 wheeler.
Anyone else tried both and got a favourite?

I had two 3 wheel BJCMs and swapped to the 4 wheeler BJCM and I have never looked back.
The fact the GT is a 3 wheeler is a factor in me not swapping to the GT - although the GT to be fair feels more grounded than the BJCM3 - the other is that I will get a Versa GT so getting a GT as well really seems a bit daft.
Thats a round about way to say I like my BJCM4.
If you plan to use a carrycot or a car seat, then I would definitely say the BJCM4 will feel more stable (not that the 3 wheeler isn't stable - it just feels better!)
