am i right to worry about lack of suspension on the city mini double?

I'm due in September when our little girl will be 17months old. We are considering getting the city mini double with carry cot for new born but are worried about the lack of suspension? It seems quite flat when compared with, say, the iCandy Pear? All advice appreciated. Many thanks.

I don't think I would be worried unless you are going to do some serious off roading. The Pear has air tyres which always helps make a pushchair feel bouncy. Maybe have a look at the City Mini GT which has small 'frever sir tyres' or even the City Elite double which is a lovely bouncy double (just being discontinued though).

Personally, I would worry about the little hard wheels because I hate feeling every bump in the road. I'm obsessed with air tyres though. Wink

"forever air tyres" that should have been. My iPad just has a mind of its own when it comes to spelling! I am a stickler for spelling IRL and I read back at some of what the iPad typed later and laugh! Sorry!

I did have a GT and thought it was great. I would have swapped my City Mini for one if it wasn't for the Versa GT coming. The push of the GT is great, the adjustable handlebar was perfect for me, I liked the handbrake and bigger seat and longer leg length. The auto lock barely worked (I didn't want one anyway!) and the hood was low at the front considering its a huge seat back that's hidden underneath. But as a double, I would definitely get it because pushing a double is not like a single and having a good height handle can make a real difference.
