Which would you choose?

Hi,

Thanks for all your help on an earlier thread. I'm looking for a lightish, one-piece-fold, reversible pushchair which I will be flying with reasonably regularly.

I have narrowed down my choices to either a bugaboo bee or this, a combi buggy which is available here in SE Asia (and also Australia).

My concerns are that the combi might not be great on uneven pavements, and that I have never seen a bugaboo in the flesh.

Which would you choose? Thanks!

Oh, and I'd love to wait for the new easywalker or baby jogger, but need one by the middle of this month when we arrive in uk.

Without a doubt, the Bee. I've just bought one and fervently wish I'd got one four years ago when I had my pfb.

I had the Jane Slalom Pro which is an awesome pushchair with fantastic suspension and other features, but the Bee is just perfect all around: it's zippy, fab suspension (so smooth!) the hood gives great coverage, seat reclines well, it's light, good looking, folds so easily with seat in either direction, you can change colours often, it has a travel bag, though I wouldn't be too worried about flying with it, I've done a great deal of travel and the airlines are pretty good. I should get a free one for all this gushing, I think.

Its hard to say without seeing the Combi pushchair. But I would suspect the Combi, given it has double wheels, would be better on uneven pavements than the Bee would. I do find the Bee wheels very small and the Bee generally feels a bit on the flimsy side. I suspect the Bee is nippier than the Combi though - again because of the wheels. I love the flip handle on the Combi - I have just finished with a Bumbleride Flyer which has a similar feature and I love it. That could well sell me the Combi over the Bee because turning the seat around on the Bee is a pain to do. Plus there are loads of times eg in a restaurant / cafe, putting your child in and out of the seat, etc where its really useful to just flick the handle out of the way so that you can be nearer the child, or the child can be sat at the table with you but still in the pushchair. I do however like the way the Bee seat extends as your child grows. I have to say at first I thought I would choose the Bee - and to be honest the Bee does have the looks - but actually I think the Combi would be probably pretty good.
