double/tandem buggy advice

I have a 2.6yr old and 8 week old. My toddler is great at walking and on scooter so thought I'd be able to get away without double but am finding it pretty difficult.

I have a stokke xplory carrycot and a cosatto stroller. The stokke is great for baby but dd1 loves her big buggy and gets bit jealous, and cosatto can recline but then can't access basket under and isnt as flat as I'd like for baby. Have found myself out with cosatto having to put dd1 in and transfer dd2 to sling and out with stokke with dd1 balanced on end of pram crushing on dd2s feet.

So any recommendations? My stokke is too old to use a buggy board, i could get one for the cosatto but don't know if that would work while it's reclined. Otherwise will buy a double or tandem, but don't want to spend too much as dd1 is in childcare 3 days a week so will not need it every day. Also dd1 is so good at walking, scooting so only need it when she's tired, like on way back from park. Happy to buy secondhand but ebay doesnt seem like the bargain basement of old.

Hurray for having made a decision. Like you say, try it out and if you dont like it then sell it on :) Doubles are hard work to get right and nothing will ever be perfect, but the B-Dual is a good all rounder.

Tiggywunkle, i did like the look of the +one, but one of my issues with it is that my toddler still likes a nap. I went for the duet and took it out shopping today for the 1st time, and i love it! I found it fab to push, could do it one handed with both kids in, loaded with shopping and up hill whilst i talked on my phone! Kids loved it too, and both had a sleep, and i could actually get between all the aisles in the shop! Best of all i just pushed it through my front door and internal doors with them both asleep, it made my day lol, that's how sad i am! I was worried after some of the reviews tbh, but i am pleased to say for me it meets all my needs and is a dream to push.......i agree the handle bar is a bit uncomfy on your hands but i will buy a cover, and that the material is annoying after it has been reclined, but that is a minor thing i can live with cos it's given me back my freedom lol! I have also dug out my b-dual to use as a single for Sam when Ella walks.....yeah it's huge as a single but he is comfy in it, i have a huge shopping basket which i need with no car, and mostly it saves me any more money for now lol! I think Ella will be in her pushchair for a while anyhow, she gets tired easily and needs her naps (they were both preemies and have a few health issues) so my mountain buggy is my new best friend (for now anyway, i have had 5 doubles in the search for the right one since Sam came home, ooops! ;) )Thanks for the advice x
