Mutsy Evo?

So still in a pram quandry for DC3. Still leaning toward a bugaboo bee+ but was browsing the internet the other day and came across the Mutsy Evo. It looks excellent value for money. Just wondered if anyone had seen one IRL and what your thoughts were on it. Is it fairly light, easy to manoeuver etc??

Never heard of it/seen it myself but...

Yes I saw that review. It sounds great, almost too good to be true for the price. I'm a bit wary of buying a newly released pram. Also nowhere near me stocks it or has plans to stock it, so I would have to order it off internet and hope for the best if I really wanted it.

I have the Mutsy Evo here...and its fab. Quality fabrics, good chassis, small fold, bolt upright and le flat ie suitable for a newborn seat. Easy to push and manoeuvre. There's only thre real downsides first if you are short and have the handle in the lowest positions you feel a long way from your child. Second the basket is fairly shallow at the back and needs packing correctly so that things don't fall out. But there is a useful bar which holds a larger bag or flat item right so that you can stack a few things behind. Thirdly, the harness buckle is reasonably easy to undo...not easy peasy...but I suspect most 2 year olds could undo it. But you cross that bridge if you eer come to it. My 3 year old wouldn't dare undo a harness buckle!

When you then consider the price I think of £399 including carrycot then it's a bargain! The carrycot is all lined and feels good quality. The only thing I can't speak for it long term quality longevity gven it's a new product. But Mutsy is a quality long term brand. The Evo does seem quite different to their other pushchairs though.

Compared to other pushchairs on the market - and at especially at that price - I think it's fab value for money.

Tiggy thanks for your reply. It really has helped tip the balance in mutsy's favour! The first downside doesn't really apply as I'm 5'8 and my husband is taller so we generally have buggy handles on a high setting anyway. The basket, I could live with and the harness is quite a bit down the line as DC3 not even here yet lol! Is the carrycot suitable for overnight sleeping??

We will be going over to England in July so DH has suggested we find a stockist and have a look then. I feel that spending out on the bee when I can get this with a proper carrycot for £399 would be silly (but I am lusting after the bee though).

I think you would need to check about the carrycot. My suspicion is that its not suitable as I haven't seen any signs of ventilation but I haven't pulled the mattress apart either. So ask a stockist. The Bee is lovely, but I find it a little too lightweight for walking with. Great for nipping too and from the car, but not to go to the park with. But a good stockist should have the Evo and the Bee on show.

That is one thing holding me back about the bee as any pram I get will have to do 3 school runs a day in all weathers. The wheels on the mutsy look a lot more durable. Will wait until I see them in July. The only other contender is the Vista and whilst I want to love it, there is something holding me back on that one.

Have you seen the Uppababy Cruz. I can appreciate the Vista for the spec but its not totally my cup of tea. I warm more towards the Cruz. But there's no carrycot as part of the package.
