Double or single pram??

Can someone help me please. DD is 25 months old and DS is nearly 3 months. I've purchased the Phil and teds vibe and it's a great pushchair BUT I find the back wheels are too wide and keep crashing into things or getting stuck trying to get through a narrow isle. DS is also a big boy and the cocoon is starting to get a bit snug but his head is not yet strong enough to go in the 2nd seat. It is fantastic to push and feels so light although I am struggling with the fact it's a 3 wheeler. As much as I love it, getting to my point, I don't know whether to just get on with it and then change it at a later stage or would it be best to get a single pram and a buggy board. I don't tend to go out that often but when I do it's usually all day so DD does tend to get tired and fall asleep now and then. I don't know what to do so I would really appreciate your oppinions.

Have you looked into getting a toddler seat that attaches to the side of a single? Or if you were going to get a buggy board then one with a seat? Do you have a sling and a pushchair that dd was in before? If you really don't like the p&t you should sell it and buy a new pram as you will be using it a while but if you can avoid it til after ds is able to use the seat on it I would so that you can guage whether you like it then.

You can use a cosytoes or blankets in the baby part when they outgrow the cocoon and your DD can still go on top.

If you aren't happy then change it sooner rather than later. But if you can get your baby as near to 6 months as possible (even 5 months if you think they are strong enough) then there is a bigger range of tandems, especially narrower ones, out there once your baby is over 6 months. I think you will use a double for a good year so I would leave the buggy board until your eldest is a bit older. I think at his age a seat is better.
