Silvercross sleepover on classic chassis

Would anyone recommend this pram? How long will I be able to use carry cot for? Is it 60cm or less in width? How easy is it to fold? Won't use it for buses etc and no car so want a sturdy everyday pram, but want to be able to fold it up when not in use! I had been thinking of buying iCandy cherry for practical reasons but really love the idea of silvercross classic style! What shall I buy? Second hand not new!

I had the silver cross linear freeway. Tried classic sleepover but couldn't get n with it. Wheels don't turn very easily on the classic and is all round a bouncier ride. Tbh there isn't much less room in the freeway than sleepover and unless you were planning to use it often for baby to sleep in, then it just becomes a pram

I have one for similar reasons, I wanted a classic looking pram mainly for proud grandparents to,push around and the school run. It is slightly wider than 60 cm with the wheels on, although it is quick to click these off as well as the seat part and fold it up, you the have the seat to store as well. You need, I think, a nice roomy hall where it can be left up. I kept mine in my living room because I did use it for baby to sleep in during the day at first. There is no separate carrycot, the seat part folds flat and you insert the newborn linens and mattress. I used that for a couple of months, as long as a standard Moses basket or crib but I did have a big baby. I liked the drapey linens and wooden rocking stand, it was a nice touch of luxury but not really necessary.

It is heavy and not very manoeuvrable due to the fixed wheels- not ideal for shopping trips past the clip in car seat stage and defo not for public transport. I found the suspension to be good though, and it coped with bumping steps (with handle up right) , kerbs and muddy grass quite well. I have the beige and it washes well too. I wouldn't like it if I had back issues, CS etc. I still like it that my DD (16 m) lounges around in the seat like a little queen with plenty of room, and can face me and is comparatively high up. The harness shoulder straps are rubbish though. Just do not fit.

It is sturdy and has lasted well without any faults apart from a loose screw in the chassis which the manufacturers replaced for me free and quickly. The wheels have got a bit rusty but there is still wear on the tyres, and I have used mine nearly every day. So if you are looking 2nd hand you should be ok, I think. Maybe check out how much replacement wheels are?

thanks for the replies, it is the classic chassis that tempts me, so the linear freeway isnt really an option. does anybody know if the seat in carrycot mode is bigger than the icandy cherry carrycot? I saw somebody pushing the icandy yesterday and it looks a bit small! (i want spacious and compact, i know this makes me very akward).
