Hi all, so this is my situation, I am a mum to 1 aged 2 & half & expecting 2nd baby end of july.
The pushchairs I already have are a phil & teds Smart buggy & a mountain Buggy urban, both nice but p&teds is going to be a nightmare fitting a buggy board to unless I get arms like Mr tickle & the MB is huge, too big for going on bus with both baby & toddler & shopping. I dont drive, so need a lightweight but sturdy buggy , faces both ways & will work with a buggy board, cos im sure they'll be times when toddler is tired, I quite like the bugaboo bee , but im losing the will to decide, and i dont have a carrycot for either of my old buggy's so would have to buy one anyway, money is a bit tight too, have heard good things about joolz day & babystyle oyster, anyone with help/advice would be great, maybe i should gumtree the buggy's i have & start again !!!!! HELP !!!!!!!

  1. What is your budget?

You have told us you will have to take it on a bus, and it needs to be able to fit a buggy board.

Once you have told me your budget I shall look around :)

Hiya, well no set budget, but i guess under £500 would be good, or chaeper, dont mind 2nd hand, just want a quality buggy that is small enough but also sturdy enough to last for baby & easy to fit a buggy board too. Thanks x

Love the baby jogger city mini. Light weight, seriously easy ti collapse, good bar for buggy board, can lie flat for new borns, can attach car seat if you want and only 200 quid.

Alternatively put the baby in a sling and let the toddler keep the buggy till big enough to walk!

MakesCakesWhenStressed isn't the BJCM only forward facing?

Thanks Milk, had a look, and i have looked around a lot, cos im not really tall 5ft4 think the bugaboo bee was the best option, but it seems a lot of people hate buggy boards cos you end up bashing them with your feet.
I also goggled Lascal site, which says it fits a p& teds smart , but can't see how that would work with a carrycot attach as its sticks out quite far, over back might have to visit Kiddicare & see if I can try one out in the shop,,, really want it to be parent facing too , the hunt continues ..........

I don't get on well with buggy boards, but,I'd say your best bet was an oyster.

jolie33 · 03/05/2012 20:47

Hi frigg, that's my worry that I won't be able to walk properly using a board for my toddler, he'll be 3 by August. Maybe I'll just let him walk ;-) although I suspect that will be a pain in the arse if I'm shopping !!

It's a toughy,it depends a lot on how much you walk really...

Could this be an option on days when DS is tired?

Milk, the car seat and carry cot attachments are rear facing. I mostly baby wear so don't use mine much, but love it when I do. Very easy to steer as well as collapse.
