Currently 14w pregnant with my first and starting to research the arena of pushchairs!
I like the look of the Silver Cross Surf and Mothercare currently have an offer on £600 for the pushchair and car seat is free. Is another £165 for the carrycot. The babynest on the pushchair means it is suitable from birth, so I wonder if I would bother buying the carrycot too. Some context - we live in a 3 bed upstairs flat (like living on top floor of a 1930s semi) so space is limited to an extent. Have been gifted cot and swing crib so wouldn't need carrycot for sleeping at home. Baby due end of Sept and we would be spending Christmas visiting family, probably 2-3 nights away from home. At least 1 of the nights would be at my parents and they have a cot at their house. I don't see why we couldn't just have the baby in our bed at night, but it would still need somewhere safe to nap during the day, right? Or could it go in the pram?
