I like the Bee and Oyster...what others should I look at?

It's very early days but I've been waiting for years to be finally able to pram shop Blush plus I like to be organised. So ive been thinking about pushchairs so we can budget accordingly.

Ideally I want something easy folding, can lie flat from birth or carrycot, nice looking, not ridiculously heavy and bulky and able to parent face. I've never really liked the look of bucket seats, but they seem to be the majority of parent facing, and I suppose if they're popular they must be comfy.

I like the bugaboo bee and the babystyle oyster. Also like the look of iCandys. DH for some reason likes the bugaboo donkey and the mamas and papas Mylo, although I think he's being lured by offers rather than the actual pushchair.

What other pushchairs should I look at? What would you recommend?

Can highly recommend the bee.Used it for 2 babies now and nothing I don't like about it.Can parent or forward face, folds v flat, fits into nearly every car boot, easy to steer, can use car seat on top etc etc.Get something that fits in with your lifestyle.I have to drive & travel a lot so am constantly folding up the buggy and that was an important factor. And get a light one; small babies turn into heavy toddlers and you won't want any extra pushchair weight especially if you have another one and are pushing a toddler whilst pregnant!

I dont think you can go far wrong TBH with an iCandy or the Oyster. IMHO the Bee is lovely - but its very light, very low, awkward and faffy (have you had a proper hands on play yourself because I get fed up of the seat falling off, of having to tug at the seat unit or extension pieces; or having to run around to the front to access the basket. I think its great as a nipping too and from the car pushchair, but for anything more by the Cameleon instead. The fold is actually flatter than the Bee and the weight isnt much different. Look at the MyChild Pinto / John Lewis Travel System too, and also the M&P Urbo. I really like the latter because its just neat although lacking suspension - but it just works well.

Thanks for your replis.

What is the Bee like on grass? DH plays a sport which may mean lapping around a field every weekend.

I'll have a look at the other one's recommended.

Sorry - but the title makes me want to hear harry hill saying:

'which one is best, there's only one way to find out . .FIGHT'

...l'll get my coat .

Presumably you've got a while so I'd look at the Baby Jogger City Versa and Easywalker June too. They're not due out for quite a while so you wouldn't get to play with one yet though.

Otherwise I have an oyster and love it, but I may well be buying a Peach soon. The only thing that puts me off is the 2 piece fold. But the strawberry looks good and folds in one piece.

I wouldnt be taking the Bee on much more than a manicured lawn...ok...maybe your average park in summer but nothing soft. I would be leaning towards the Oyster with air tyres or as Itsmylastone says one of the new ones!

I have had both for my 8 month old dd and got rid of both.
Loved the oyster for the first 7/8 weeks or so while using the carrycot but once she wasnt happy in the carrycot the seat doesnt lay flat, i really dont get why the manufacturers dont just make them flat - anyway folds easy but i did find it quite heavy/bulky although lovely to push.

The decided to get THE BEE, i have read so much about, initially was quite happy i dont drive so dont have to fold all the time but was surprised that it still semt quite big when folded and yes sooo fiddly, a dream to push but my dd couldnt seem to sit up properly in it and without a cosytoes just looked odd liked id just chucked her in Grin also very narrow, nt sure it would be much good on grass though, i think they are lovely for babies up until 6 months or so and then probably 18months plus, i would have def kept mine if funds would have allowed for when she was older.
