General advice

Last year started planning for baby no 1 so started looking around at everything to get an idea of what we'd need once it happened. I'm now pregnant and still feeling very indecisive.
We used to really like the iCandy peach for its looks but not worth the money and as we are both tall can't imagine having a baby that would fit it long into toddlerhood. We've seen the Britax Bsmart 2012 model in the Neon Black and love it for its looks and sensible price... Just wondered what ppl thought of it as a travel system all in all?
I'd go for the 4 wheel option for sturdiness with the Baby Safe 2/3 car seat...
I drive a Clio so will be trying it for size soon but general use will be for the shops and town and round local park, nothing dramatic but
Ability to go for walk in it and baby to be comfy is paramount :)

Any advice welcomed

The iCandy Peach can easily take a tall 3/4 year old and the hood unzips at the rear later on to give even more space for an older toddler. The liner also removes. I was hearing about one mum yesterday who got into her Peach and was pushed around just to see whether she could fit! So don't be too quick to dismiss what I personally think is one of the best single pushchairs on the market. But the iCandy Cherry is very good at almost half the price too and is definitgely worth a look. The Strawberry has a large seat too.

I can't really comment on the B-Smart but I had a B-Dual and I didn't like the seating position for the child and the lack of foot support.

Other pushchairs that are good are the Babystyle Oyster MyChild Pinto - these two are fantastic value for money for features / what you get - the Bugaboo Cameleon and Bee Plus. I have just got a Joolz Day and I have to say that looks very good too. I like the Mamas and Papas Urbo too for ease of use and a large seat.

Been around shops today and have seen the M&P Sola and Urbo, liked both of those tho do need one with better wheels than the Urbo for walks when we go round parks etc. read few reviews re the Vista? Would this be about the comparison of the Britax Bsmart? Saw a slightly older version of the Bsmart today and felt but disappointed :/
Also hubby saw one of the Jane Slalom R pushchair 4 wheeler in a mag which looks nice but £400? Could prob be others to compare for that price.

Confused.com! Glad I'm only early on :)

The Vista is really excellent. TBH if you like it, you can't go far wrong with it. The specification is top level, the carrycot is beautiful and included, as are the car seat adaptors. It's very hard to fault. It could also be a double or even a triple if you ever wished! Very very good pushchair!
I think it's way better than the B-Smart just on what I know.
I am not sure I would get the Jane R...gut feeling on bits I have seen and read.

Thanks very much, do u know if it's a heavy chassey, remember looking at one when went to see a peach and thought it was but then the peach is light for its size ...

The Vista is 11.3kgs with the seat attached. The Peach chassis on its own is 8.9kgs plus then the seat unit. So I suspect they wont be far off each other. The Vista is bigger folded, but it can fold as one piece.

Was moments away from ordering a iCandy again on sat but we left town and went for a walk to work things out in our head, whilst on the walk came to conclusion we weren't gonna get into debt for a pushchair which babies gonna be oblivious about. As we were sat at the park a lady walked past with mama and papas sola and kiddie looked in her element and the lady was perfectly happy with the pram so we have ordered one.
Ppl have mixed reviews but for what I'm using it for it should be perfect. We look after our things so fingers crossed with a bit of lubricant regularly on the wheels we should be ok. Anyone else happy with their sola :) could of gone for Oyster but just couldn't seem to like it at all which was weird x

Hi. I've got a Sola, don't really rate it much TBH but that's partly because it isn't really the right pram for me.

It does have its good points; hood is big enough to protect LO from wind, she seems comfortable in it, it's easy to push and use in shops/town and looks nice. The carrycot was great, really sturdy. It fits on public transport easily.

The down sides I have found are that the pushchair seat is poor quality - harness covers frayed quickly, back doesn't 'click' into place when I adjust the recline and falls down, and the bar and foot muff seem oddly positioned in relation to the child (if you haven't ordered a footmuff I would recommend you don't bother, I got a Kaiser which fits and is fab). The basket is a peculiar shape and is just an inch too small for my change bag, however I can get more in using loose or carrier bags and tying them to the chassis bars. It also isn't very good over rough terrain - I go on lots of walks so I don't know what I was thinking when I bought it really!

I would add that this is just my experience and I know quite a few others who love their Sola, I'm sure if you have done your research it will be the right pram for you :)

BTW just read your post again and think you were definitely right not to get into debt, my friend has a 2 year old I-Candy (think cherry but not sure) and part of the handle just broke, shearing through something that allows it to collapse so she can't use it now till it's repaired. Just shows problems can occur even with the more expensive makes.
