Pushchairs
Does such a pushchair exist?
MegumiEto · 07/03/2012 09:41
OK, if it does, I know you ladies will know of it!
I am looking for a second pushchair for when DS1 is at preschool that I can take DS2 to town in. I have a P&T Sport but DS2 is really not happy in it when in single mode. He's 6ms and outgrown the cocoon but he doesn't like having the front seat off and being able to see the big wide world in front of him! He needs to be able to see me.
So I need something lighter than a P&T, small enough to go in the shed and fit down a narrow passageway or light enough that I could carry it through folded up. Something that lays fairly flat as DS isn't sitting up, and parent facing or something where he can see me or be covered up and feel more secure!
Impossible?

Yep I would second a Quinny Zapp xtra. Theres not many that will be parent facing with all of the above. Only thing is, if you do want to carry it folded, it is in 2 parts. Not heavy, but may be a little awkward.

Oooh thanks that was fast! I live in an upstairs flat so can always keep one of the parts indoors if need be, just don't want another big bulky frame clogging stairs.
Bugaboo is a bit out of my price range sadly :(((
But will check out the Quinny on ebay and see if there are some good deals to be had second hand.
Thank you! You pushchair ladies are brilliant.

Bugaboo Bee's are amazing - mine was stolen and it still niggles me!!
Mamas & Papas used to do a pushchair called an Aria, it is brilliant - the only problem I can see is it is not rear & forward facing. Also you can only buy them on Ebay.
I have had three though (two singles and a double) and would highly recommend. The only buggy other than the bee that would fit in my mini.

I would look at the BabyStyle Oyster. It's not especially light but does cover all other bases. It's nice to push and narrow. I personally would only use a Zapp as an occasional pushchairs if necessary. I hate the rattle and the severe lack of storage. The seat also won't sit upright when facing you which wil become a problem in the future.
There's a new one called a Graco Evo which looks great on paper: one hand fold, reversible seat, looks small but dimensions are impossible to find, comes with a footmuff, full price of £280, but there are always codes around for Mothercare and you could go through Quidco or similar too.

Have a look at these for fold sizes etc. I think the new Baby Jogger Versa would suit you but it's not out until ths summer. I agree with the Oyster, or an iCandy Cherry. But the Zapp Xtra really isn't a pushchair to walk a long way with.
