Mutsy Transporter vs iCandy Cherry

Sorry, I know there are loads of comparison threads but I couldn't find one exactly like this - apologies if it already exists!

I'm 27 weeks with DC1.

I'm looking for a travel system, which will hopefully be enough to get a chassis and either a carrycot or a car seat. We stay on a 2nd floor flat in a city, so need something that's:

public transport friendly
fairly light
is useable with a Ford Fiesta
costs less than £500 for a pram and either the car seat or a carrycot
is reversible

I've had a look and the iCandy Cherry or Mutsy Transporter seem like the best options. We're leaning towards the Mutsy at the moment. Any advice?

Also, I've been wondering - those bags that you can get with prams and cost an apparent fortune - are they worth it?

I had the mutsy 4 rider and my friend had the I candy apple. I know these are different models but we both preferred the mutsy. It was a lot sturdier and easier to manoeuvre. I would say the only draw back is the shallow basket. I has my mutsy for 4 years and used it constantly for both dd1 and dd2. It was still in great condition when I sold it. I would recommend a mutsy

You certainly don't need a matching changing bag. I just use a large handbag but there are tons of changing bags on the market so have a look around.

The Mutsy Transporter doesn't have a reversible seat, but it would be good on public transport as it's nice and narrow.

Have you looked at the BabyStyle Oyster? It's ver narrow, well built, decent basket with easy.access, huge hood, extendable handle, is easy to push and you can buy air wheels for the back, which I would definitely get. They're also fairly cheap and you can get a carrycot for them, but they also fit Britax and Maxi-Cosi carseats, including the Britax Baby-Safe Sleeper which is a lie flat carseat.

Whatever you get, I would buy the carrycot as you can't use a carseat for more than two hours at a tine and it shouldn't be used as your only option for a newborn.

I have to say that the Oyster is a real gem of a pushchair - very very good! High spec and easy to use. I would recommend one.
