I wanted the BJCM but its to tall , and I can't wait for the next release . I can't find a shop that stocks the Mountain Buggy Swift to try, but I did try the nipper today and rather liked it .

Does anyone have any opinions on the Nipper ?

They are a much loved pushchair. Is it the newest version you were looking at? The V1 doesn't sit upright enough for my liking, but the V2 is fine.

Very light to push, loads of fab storage especially if you buy the basket. However its wider than most standard doorways and this is an issue if you go into older buildings ie not shopping malls. I dont like that the children can only get one foot on the footplate and the other dangles. I personally dont like the mesh behind the children's heads. I am not keen on how the fabric bunches up after a recline and needs rearranging. I find the hood a bit exposed too. The Nipper fold isn't the neatest either although it is light to lift - but the V2 is a fair bit heavier. It fits in my car boot with millimetres to spare.

But the Nipper wins on being light and it is very very easy off road and across sand. Personally I would buy one for that purpose, but otherwise look at something like the TFK Twinner Twist Duo which has a low handle but better seats and fold and is narrower.

Tiggy, I may well be wrong, but I think Arctic is looking for a single. Everything still applies apart from going through doorways, I hope! :o

Tiggywunkle · 02/02/2012 18:58

Lol, thanks :) Sorry OP. Yes ignore the width bit and the footplate bit!

Tiggywunkle · 02/02/2012 18:58

And the boot space lol.

There are some single Air Buggies cheap on EBay or in a shop called Snowflakes online. They are nice light pushchairs too.

Thanks for the advise . Ive been daring and ordered the nipper , hopefully it will do the job !

Nippers rule! Sorry for the corny thumbs up for nipper 360! I adored my double, never had a width issue, my barometer was my local Starbucks, we fitted easily and that included the disabled loo with baby change.....I now have a nipper single v2, love it also, have had at least thirty other makes and haven't changed mind about the out n about brand ever. Light, easy push, even with 16kg 18 month old in, weight limit nice and high, 22kgs, seat super comfy and sits right up, loads storage, basket, drawstring extra basket, zipped pockets on side hood, got the matching cosy toes and it folds up like a snuggle round head and velcors, so cute and plenty leg room, shower prrof and easy flip on off brake. You will love it.

ArcticRain · 04/02/2012 16:28

I'm very excited. Is it worth buying the extra basket ?

Have had them both (no surprise there) and liked them both. The Nipper is fab for pushing because of the air tyres and really easy to manouvre.

Get the extra basket as the one at the back of the pram isn;t that big. I used it for storing the rain cover.

Egg · 04/02/2012 18:28

Loved both my Nippers. Had double and single. Child can sit on footrest and still easy to push.

5inthebed · 04/02/2012 20:59

Think you bought the single one off me did you not Egg? Remember your name as one I like.

Egg · 04/02/2012 21:31

Oooh I may well have done. I did buy it through mumsnet and now you mention it your name is familiar! I still have it but it is sadly not in the great condition it was when you sold it. it has been in a cupboard in the loft for nearly a year. Must find a new home for it.

5inthebed · 04/02/2012 21:37

A new home you say? Wink

Wish I was still into prams, DS3 is now 3 and doesn't do prams any more Sad

Egg · 04/02/2012 21:51

Same here. Twins are four. But still got the double in the boot of the car. Both really need new tyres or inner tubes or something so not in good shape for selling, I got all the tyres 'slimed' at Halfords but it didn't work brilliantly and now I cant pump them either. But I could still push them without much effort with flat tyres!

mummyistheword · 04/02/2012 23:03

Yes def worth getting the basket arctic, I put raincover in mine and bits shopping and use the drawstring basket on seat back for coats and randomly discarded gloves, hats etc, i think it looks good too. The colour matches the buggy, mines all navy, fab. Only prob is now I really can't justify another buggy! None seem to tick the nipper boxes, if only they would do a city pram, the nippers onlybdrawback is size on buses depending where you live/routes used I guess, and compactness for car etc, still it's easy to fold and unfold and for me the high weight limit is a major requirement! Most little buggies have the basic. 15kg it seems, surely most kids need a buggy past this weight! As they are prob under two generally, maybe they just say 15kg to stop overloading but really a bit more is fine? Hmmmmm. I quite fancy a bjcm as got put off my bee + thoughts when read about the wheel issues...... I digress, . Nippers rule, still.
