Hi

I need all your expert help. i'm looking for a lightweight stroller which is easy to push and compfrtable for DS and me on long walks.

Currently using Bugaboo Cam which I love, but looking for soemthing smaller, easy to fold on bus/tube.

Is it worth getting the Bee? I see it doesn't fold that small.
Or should I get an umbrella? How can I choose between the Maclarens and so many others???

There is too much choice Grin

The Bee+ is a great pram for what you need, but I'd suggest a Baby Jogger City Mini, without a doubt.

A Baby Jogger City Mini. The B-Agile is good too but its a two handed fold so I dont know how old your DS is as to whether he could stand still whilst you opened it up.

Oh baby jogger looks nice. Thanks.

What about the maclaren umbrella pushchair? How do these compare?

I've had both and much prefer the BJCM.

Have you looked at Micralites? They have air tyres at the back so will be nice to push on long walks. They also fold one handed, are quite compact folded and freestand. The Superlite is only 6kg, but can only be used from 6 months. The Classic has a reasonable recline I think.

The fact you've mentioned the tube makes me assume you're in London. Is that right? In which case, if it was me, I'd also want a narrow pushchair to help you squeeze into small gaps on the bus or tube.

To me anything over 60cm seems wide because I'm used to narrow pushchairs. So a City Mini (being 62cm wide according to JL but everywhere seems to have different widths stated Confused) just seems too big to me, especially considering it's a stroller type pushchair and I expect them to be smaller IYSWIM. I wonder if you'd feel the same, as the Cameleon is 60cm wide. I'd personally prefer a B Agile as it's narrower and has a smaller footprint. But it's better for bigger/older toddlers. I'd also prefer 4 wheels as IMO they're much better for curbs, steps etc. The City Mini also comes in a 4 wheel version.

Thanks for replies.

DS is 1 (no need for completely flat pushchair) and beginning to walk which is why I want something light for when i'm holding his hand.

I like BJCM but didn't realise it was wider than the Cam. But I manage to get that on buses fine. Like the look of the B Agile too.

Guess I need to go to John Lewis and have a look really to make sure it is right for us.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Baby Jogger City Mini.

This is the answer to all questions about "Which buggy should I get?". There are only two exceptions - when you need a double, when the answer if of course BJCM double, or when air tyres are a must for some deep-rural dwelling reason.

Grin BRS, so true.
