Help- flat tyre / puncture on nipper sport

I bought it 2nd hand so I don't have instructions and I can't find any online. Does anyone know how I can get the wheel off and whether I can use a standard bicycle pump to pump it up. I haven't got a pump in any case but I figured I could get a bike pump quite easily. If it is punctured - how do I fix it inept

When mine have punctures I take the wheel to our bike shop and they fit a new tube / tyre for me.

I had a puncture in a nipper wheel once, you treat it as you would a bike tyre.

Take the tyre off and remove inner tube.
Pump inner tube up and locate hole, put it in a small bowl of water if you need to.
Use puncture repair kit to cover hole
Try find where tyre was punctured and remove anything that might be there
Put everything back on

You might want to slime the tyres as well, you can buy tyre slime from Halfords and it is great stuff.

Or do as Meglet does Grin

There are loads of videos etc on YouTube - search for changing a bike tyre, it's exactly the same but smaller Smile

You basically need two teaspoons (or tyre levers ideally) and a puncture repair kit / new inner tube as well as a bike pump.

If you have a friendly local bike shop (mine stocks pram-size inner tubes) you could always ask them to change it for you but show you how it's done for next time?

I'd always recommend having a spare tube and puncture kit anyway in case you get a puncture on a long walk / on holiday!

Thanks - there is a bike shop on our high st so they would be a good bet. I still need to get the wheel off though. I can see there is a lever which I can open but then I'm not sure how the wheel comes off and YouTube doesn't seem to have any videos of that. Is it just brute force?

Will have a look for the slime as well - I'm running through woods and it's a bit bumpy at times so I'm guessing that's how it happened.

You don't necessarily need to take the wheel off - having said that I don't know what your pram looks like! I just leave my wheels attached when I change tyres etc.

I can't really cart it up the high st with ds in it with a puncture so I thought if I took it off then I could take it with me (and use the other buggy) I think they are supposed to be easy to get off but I'm not sure how.
