Ideally wanted one which had parent facing option.

Dont want side by side as this would be too bulky.

I have been looking at P&T explorer, Britax B-Dual, and baby jogger city select.

Looking at all the pro's & con's its mind-boggling me, I just dont know what to do? I have my "boba baby carrier" so I can carry the baby and push DD, I also have my M&P sola pushchair, and also nearly new silvercross travel system that mum bought (that i'm hoping to sell)

We do drive to playgroups etc because of location, and when walking out & about, I dont fancy having to be keeping DD walking if she's sleepy. so we do need a double. I will keep the sola if I only happened to be pushing baby, and DD walking (short journeys) plsu i LOVE my sola :)

please advise!

Also forgot to add, i'm not exactly FLUSH in the money department, so if i could sell the silvercross - this could help. but otherwise i can't afford a hell of a lot.

the P+T puts me off a little as the underneath seat looks a little cramped? and what additional things would I need to buy as in for the newborn? (with both britax & PT?)

scroll down. i have just done a message saying the same thing...I can't decide on a double either!

I think after much debate I am going with the Kidz Kargo Duellette, well maybe...I have not purchased anything yet.

possible choices, Icandy peach, B- dual, Hauck Duet, Mountain Buggy Duet, Phil and Teds Promenade...

unfortunately cost is an issue for me otherwise I would get the i candy...

It almost sounds like you're trying to explain yourself in wanting a double. I would never expect anyone would cope too well without a double with a 19 month age gap! My DD walked at 10 months and is a very confident walker at 16 months, but there's no way I could see her managing without a pushchair at 19 months! Shock

Anyway, we have a B Dual and I think it's great. The second seat is much more roomy than a P&T, and the shopping basket is a lot bigger and more accesible. The wheels are nice and big, it has good suspension, lots of seating options, nice to push, neat fold with both seats on. The only flaws are the width (we use it without the wheel guards which makes it 67cm wide) and lack of footrest for the child in the top seat. We have the leg rest up which supports their legs more.

Have a look at bestbuggy.co.uk. This is a B Dual/Verve comparison, this is a B Dual/City Select comparison, this is a city select/dash comparison, and this is a city select/verve comparison. I know these are the wrong P&T models but hopefully it should help a bit. Best Buggy has loads of info on the City Select and B Dual though.

Like Mamaesi says, go and have a read of her thread. Also go and have a look at Best Buggy because it will answer your questions and more. But DO come and ask more questions :)

I'm kind of doing that, to justify the money i'm going to need to spend, as as it's going to be between 500-600. I need to make sure i'm choosing the best option for us. :)

Will check out the bestbuggy and other thread :)

I still can't decide. really wanted one where both can parent face. but dont seem to happen with these ...

also with P&T, it doesnt fit a carseat does it? and not "suitable" from newborn unless with cocoon etc.

Britax is bulkier by the looks of it, and still doesnt do both parent facing. would also have to buy the adaptors as extra as i have a maxi-cosi carseat.

I'm getting so annoyed trying to find one.

the deals i've found on these are:

Kiddicare:

P&T explorer with 2nd seat - 490.50
P&T explorer with 2nd seat & double raincover - 513.00
P&T explorer with 2nd seat, double raincover & cocoon - 564.00
(doesnt accept carseat)

Britax with 2nd seat & raincover - 475.00
Does accept carseat with additional payment for adaptors)

also how is the P&T for reclining the seats? if both want to sleep?

Other than these deals in regards to more or less in my price range) I cant find an affordable parent-facing

Have you looked at narrow side by sides? Like the MB Duet (forward facing though) or Twingo? Tiggy's selling her Twingo here. It looks great and there are reviews and photos on bestbuggy. Smile

P&Ts are about the same size as the B-Dual but don't have anywhere near as good seating options. People often find that the baby seems too enclosed before they're ready for the seat. The B-Dual can be used from bitth in either seat, has infinitely better basket space, bigger hoods and doesn't have recalls like most P&Ts do. You can get the parent facing option up to about 10-12 months by putting the baby in the bottom seat in a soft carrycot with the toddler in the top seat facing you. Once the youngest wants to sit up, you'll need to have the top footrest upright to keep the toddler's feet out of the baby's face, but this isn't an uncomfortable position for a toddler. The top seat is nice and high so you get good interaction with the child on top.

Having said that, I would prefer a Donkey or TwinGo to have both rear facing all the time. The TwinGo is relatively compact folded too.

Friend of mine just for rid of her bugaboo and got a Hauck double (side by side ) thing. Her DS is 19mo and baby is 1 month old. She thought she could sling baby in carrier and push older child but found it tough. Hauck looks good and is relatively light but has diddly straps I hear.
