can you get a pushchair professionally cleaned?

i always used to just sling mine in the washing machine. The seat part anyway, then wipe the bar bits over with some anti bac every now and then

Have you or anyone you know got a pressure washer? My sister cleans hers with a pressure washer and they come out really well. Are you sure you can't remove the fabrics? I've given my pushchairs a nice warm soapy bath Grin in the past and that works just as well, but hurts my back.

I've used a pressure washer and/or washing machine on all mine. Just today I cleaned one. The fabrics that would come off (some involved removing screws) went in the washing machine. The hood wouldn't fit in the machine so I put that in the bath with washing powder, left it to soak then scrubbed it. Normally I would pressure wash the chassis but I couldn't be bothered today as it was so cold, so I just used hot soapy water and a sponge. It's come up a treat!

If I had one where the fabrics wouldn't come off at all I'd just use washing powder and scrub, scrub, scrub!

I've never tried this, but apparently it works well if you use white toothpaste on a chrome chassis to improve the appearance of little scratches. And baby oil on tyres!

If anyone stumbles on this thread, there’s a company in Warwickshire that offers pushchair cleaning called www.thebuggyvalet.co.uk

There is also Buggy Pitstop.
