Maclaren repairs or new buggy?

Hi, the wheel to my 5 year old Maclaren XT techno hs just fallen off on the school run. Disaster! The axle has sheered between the 2 wheels of one of the back wheels IYSWIM.

Can I buy and fit replacement wheels or can I get it repaired? I have searched the Maclaren site and I can't find a list of authorised repairers.

I have a 2 month old and a 2.5 year old who rides on the buggy board, should I just buy a new buggy?

Thanks

Fwiw we fixed (and valeted ours ) for dd2 arrival as dh loves it - it wasnt cheap but if new one is about 200 quid and can be resold so reckoned it was worth it.

Depends on your budget. I would consider a babyjogger city mini with babyjogger glider board and not get another maclaren if you have the funds. I personally am not keen on the maclaren to push. The wheels are very simple without ball bearing units (v cheap!) and make for a heavy push.
I find the babyjogger city mini much nicer to push, it's simple fast and easy to fold. The basket is easier to access and stronger beneath. The hood is large and keeps off most rain and sun. The babyjogger seat is much nicer and more ergonomic for your child to sit in.

The other thing about mcclarens is they aren't great with a buggy board (assume bjcm works well). We are keeping ours as spare but age gap bigger as dd1 3.5 so not always needing buggy.

am sure you;'d be able to get it fixed. seems a shame to throw it away if ti could be fixed?
why not e-mail or phone maclaren and ask them?

Thanks very much, I will contact Buggy pit stop to find out the cost/possibility of a repair. It does seem a terrible waste to get rid of it. On the other hand I will be needing a buggy for another 2-3 years so it may not be up to the job. Ours has been in constant use for 5 years as our only buggy, so I'm not sure how much more to expect from it.
